The Water Magician

Chapter 425: The March of the Saint (?) ✨

Published: July 4, 2025

For now, Ryo drinks the special potion he had.

As always, it repairs his left leg pierced by a stone spear and other small injuries at an astonishing speed.

Once his body is completely restored, he slowly approaches the archbishop nailed to the wall.

"Is he coming soon?"

He murmurs those words.

And then it came.

A light from the heavens strikes the archbishop.

In an instant, the archbishop's body vanished.

Even though it was an underground space, the light came from above... of course, there were no holes in the ceiling.

Something from a higher dimension interfered with something from a lower dimension.

There was no need for something so tactless as to break the ceiling.

Ryo closely examines the spot where the archbishop's body had been attached.

As he imagined…

There were several spots stained with blood.

Most likely, it was the archbishop's blood.

"Alright!"

Ryo said that and made a small fist pump.

Last time, even though he had completely sealed the archbishop in the Coffin of Ice, the light from above had taken all of the archbishop's body perfectly.

The dimensions are different.

This time, he let the special 'water' seep out from the countless ice spears that had pierced the archbishop's body and mixed it with the blood within him.

He wanted to see what would happen.

The result was the remaining blood, which had not been completely recovered.

At the very least, it proved that the one who interfered was not an omniscient and omnipotent being.

To put it plainly, it seemed that he could not perform perfect interference like Michael (alias) …

This is precisely serendipity.

This blood is a scar left by something from a higher dimension.

And hope.

Despite all that battle and destruction sounds, no one came.

Could it be because of the air barrier that blocked even the water vapor?

For Ryo, it was convenient!

As he walked deeper into the atrium, he found a corridor extending further inside.

A long corridor.

On both sides of the corridor, there were several sturdy iron doors.

"[Passive Sonar]"

In total, there were four people he was looking for in two rooms on the left and right.

In the room further inside, there were other mages.

Furthermore, in the large room at the end… there were more than thirty captives.

"To free or not to free, that is the question..."

Ryo pondered like Hamlet.

Well, there was no reason not to help...

For now, he was supposed to free the four closest, so he opened the door.

Of course, there was no key.

But the door seemed to be made of iron.

And Ryo was a water attribute mage.

Iron, when cooled, can easily 'shatter.'

It is said that even the Titanic crashed into an iceberg because its iron hull became brittle when cold.

Iron at room temperature simply bends when struck with a hammer, but iron cooled with liquid nitrogen can shatter with one blow… he remembered seeing a video of that back when he was on Earth!

So, cool it down and break it!

Crack!

With a clear, high-pitched sound, the four iron doors shattered.

Ryo cautiously peered inside from the front.

He knew they were chained.

In the first room was the female wind attribute mage, Alicia.

However, she was lying on the floor.

Her body was slightly moving up and down, so she didn't seem to be dead.

For now, he cooled the chain attached to her leg and broke it, just as he did before.

Then, he made her drink the special potion he had.

In the next room was the Dwarf earth attribute mage, Bellrock.

He was sitting heavily on the floor.

"Hey, Ryo, long time no see."

"Bellrock-san, it’s been a while."

They exchanged ordinary greetings.

He broke the chain and set him free.

In the third room was the enchanter, Ashkan.

He was sitting on the floor but looked unwell.

However, he moved his face and recognized Ryo.

He slightly lowered his head.

After breaking the chain and freeing him, Ryo handed him the special potion.

"Thank you."

"Not at all."

Ashkan expressed his gratitude in a small voice.

In the fourth room was the fire attribute mage, Gordon.

He was standing tall.

But his legs were trembling… he was probably suffering from having his magical power forcibly drained.
