Surrounding the Holy Capital Marromar, several cities, often referred to as satellite cities, are scattered about.
Further out, there are dungeons in the east, west, south, and north.
The dungeons are not evenly spaced... The North Dungeon is about a three-hour walk from the Holy Capital Marromar.
The area around the North Dungeon has become a small town.
Adventurers come to the dungeon, and shops catering to those adventurers have been established.
Additionally, there are inns for adventurers and merchants.
It seems there is also a branch of the Guild for those adventurers.
However, no one in the delegation knows if it’s the same as the Guild in the Central Nations...
That said, the delegation is heading directly to the Holy Capital Marromar this time.
This town, conveniently referred to as North Dungeon Town, was passed by on the main road without entering.
“Is there a great tsunami there too?”
At Amon's mutter, priests Eto and Zeek flip through the 'travel brochure' while saying, “That’s true."
However, it seems that information was not included up to that point.
“I hope not,”
Nils murmured in agreement with Eto's hopeful observation.
“That was troublesome,”
he added.
Three hours later, the delegation arrived safely at the North Gate of the Holy Capital Marromar.
The Holy Capital Marromar is a massive city with many gates, and among them, the North Gate is one of the largest.
And most importantly... guarding the castle gate is...
“Golem!”
Ryo involuntarily shouted.
Two golems stood on each side of the gate, four in total.
Each was three meters tall... about the same size as the golems from the duchy.
They stood with swords stabbed into the ground in front of them, both hands resting on the hilt.
However, they showed no signs of movement.
“Isn't the golem supposed to check identities or look for suspicious items...?”
“It seems they don't,”
Eto replied.
“They say that the gates of the Holy Capital Marromar are always open. It’s written that believers from the Western Nations can enter the Holy Capital at any time.”
Ryo made a face as if disappointed, while Nils affirmed it, and Eto provided information from the 'travel brochure.'
“Well, that’s fine. If they're standing still, we can approach and take our time looking at them...”
“Don’t do that.”
Nils grabbed Ryo, who was swaying towards the golems, and pulled him back to the line.
A scene reminiscent of somewhere they had seen before repeated.
“Nils, please don’t stop me!”
“No, I will stop you. The delegation is entering the city now.”
The imperial delegation, alliance delegation, and kingdom delegation were scheduled to enter the Holy Capital Marromar in that order and attend the welcome ceremony at the Holy See.
“I’ll leave that part to you. I’ll observe the golems...”
“Give it up.”
Ryo resisted, but Nils held onto him.
After several exchanges, Ryo eventually gave up.
“The golems won't run away.”
It seems he reassured himself and resigned...
The other six watched with wry smiles as usual.
At the welcome ceremony for the Central Nations delegation at the Holy See, Ryo and the others were lined up, waiting for the ceremony to proceed.
The kingdom delegation was positioned behind the empire and alliance, with Rooms 10 and 11 at the very back.
Of course, the carriages were left outside the ceremony venue, and the bureaucrats who arrived in them were also lined up.
From the back of the line, the Pope was too far away...
“I can’t see the Pope's face at all,”
Ryo commented.
“It’s too far away for that,”
Nils replied.
“The fact that he’s at the top of the Western Church means he must have incredible magic, right?”
Nils grumbled, Eto agreed, and Amon expressed his excitement.
The three in Room 11 nodded as well.
However, Ryo kept tilting his head repeatedly.
Seeing this, Priest Eto asked,
“Ryo, what’s wrong?”
“Um, it’s just that... it’s hard to explain in words, but I feel an incredible sense of discomfort.”
“Discomfort?”
