After a leisurely four-day sea journey, the kingdom delegation arrived in Valpegara, a city in the northern border of Fundebie Kingdom.
From Valpegara, they would proceed overland to the Holy Capital Maroma of Fundebie Kingdom.
"Hey, Ryo."
"What is it, Nils?"
"That thing following us from behind is...?"
"It's a water attribute magic 'cart', you know?"
Behind Ryo, three carts resembling ice-made luggage carts were following him.
It was an upgraded version of the 'cart' from before.
Of course, inside it were the disassembled golems made in Kyushi Duchy.
"When the Duchy provided us with these golems, one of the conditions was that we must dispose of them completely upon arriving in Fundebie Kingdom... I’ve learned quite a bit from it, so it's a bit of a waste, but we must keep our promise."
The Duchy likely didn't want to share information about golems with other countries in the Western Nations as much as possible.
Moreover, even though Ryo and the delegation had a notable achievement in preventing a coup, it was quite unusual to be given disassembled golems.
There was probably a sense of gratitude along with a hush-money implication.
Ryo was the type of person who kept promises once made.
"But the golem's armor was unaffected by both swords and magic, right?"
"That was something every party struggled with," Amon and Eto recalled their battle with the golem.
"How do we dispose of it?"
Nils seemed to have understood the difficulty in disposing of such a golem.
He looked back and forth between Ryo and the cart trailing behind.
Ryo turned around to look at the cart and said, "The armor is indeed tough. The best way to dispose of it would be to burn it at a high temperature... ideally, to melt it. Kenneth mentioned before that the captured Golem of the Alliance was melted while escaping the royal capital to prevent it falling into the Empire's hands."
"No, Ryo is a water attribute mage... You can't burn it with water, can you?"
Nils made a very reasonable comment.
Yes, normal water can't burn.
In fact, water extinguishes fire...
However...
"There is burning water."
Ryo answered.
That answer was water plasma.
By applying voltage to the water around, plasma could be generated... This plasma torch can reach temperatures of ten thousand or even twenty thousand degrees Celsius.
Most things will 'evaporate' rather than just 'melt'.
Iron melts at two thousand degrees... which means it changes from solid to liquid, but when exposed to plasma, it can instantly become gas and disperse into the air.
It literally disappears.
In 21st century Japan, it had already gone beyond lab-level research and was commercialized.
There were vehicle-mounted water plasma generators aiming to handle waste disposal...
When waste is processed with water plasma, what comes out is hydrogen.
For a society aiming for a hydrogen economy, it must be a fantastic method.
If all the city incinerators were converted to water plasma incinerators, all the garbage that could only be disposed of by burying could be incinerated... and of course, no dioxins would be produced... and a large amount of hydrogen for societal use could be generated...
However, unfortunately, Ryo still couldn't produce it.
Even a water attribute mage like Ryo found it difficult...
(But I will definitely master water plasma someday!)
While firmly vowing this in his heart, he couldn't use it for the disposal of the golem parts in front of him.
However, Ryo knew one more type of plasma related to water.
That was the mantis shrimp.
Once, he had been knocked out by a shock wave from a huge version of the mantis shrimp in the ocean.
That was what is called 'underwater plasma' or 'liquid plasma'.
Though its name is similar to 'water plasma', it's completely different!
As called cavitation and cavitation collapse, it is a phenomenon that occurs underwater.
Mantis shrimp can generate a high temperature of 4400 degrees just by snapping their claws together...
Of course, since it’s underwater, that high temperature quickly subsides.
But if that’s the case!
