"Suddenly, the reactions of six people disappeared..."
"I heard that from Ryo and hurried to come to their aid."
Ryo and Hugh explained the situation.
Of course, this was outside of Bordren.
They couldn't predict what might happen in the city...
"We started searching around the area where the six disappeared... and within about ten seconds, they suddenly reappeared."
Ryo responded while recalling the events.
Then, smiling, he said, "I'm glad you're safe..."
For some reason, all six of them blushed at his honest words.
After that, Nils and Eto explained to Hugh what had happened.
"In other words, the small nation delegation has..."
"Yes. I believe they were all wiped out..."
Nils nodded with a grimace at Hugh's confirmation.
This also pained Ryo's heart.
Compared to the Empire or the Alliance's delegations, he had a relatively strong sense of "camaraderie" with them.
Of course, it was one-sided.
That's why, at Schultz, he quickly protected the small nation delegation with the ice wall.
After a few more confirmations, Hugh bowed his head to the six of them.
"I'm sorry. It was my misjudgment."
"Huh? Grand Master?"
Nils voiced his confusion, and the other five tilted their heads in confusion as well.
"I never imagined there would be such an abomination, and it was my misjudgment to send just six people."
"No, that's... No one could have known that such a thing existed, and besides, that was... probably an opponent that even anyone wouldn't be able to defeat."
Eto replied to Hugh's words.
"While the grand master is one thing, we also encountered a demon during a request from Kona Village. This time, that creature felt like it was on par with or even exceeding that level of demon."
When Nils said this, Eto and Amon nodded as well.
The three in Room 11, who had never seen a demon, were astonished.
However, only Harold was able to be seen with a grim expression.
Naturally.
Harold had been affected by the spirit curse of explosion caused by the demon...
It was impossible for him to be at ease.
After the report was concluded, the six from Room 10 and Room 11 were told by Hugh to "take a break for now."
"Wow, I'm so glad we all made it back safely. We have to celebrate with a coffee party! Oh, but it's already night, so maybe I won't be able to sleep..."
Ryo said cheerfully as he generated an ice coffee grinder and began to put coffee beans into it.
He was genuinely happy that the six had come back safely.
As Ryo happily prepared for the coffee party, Eto decided to ask about something that was bothering him.
"Ryo, I want to ask you something in detail."
"What is it, Eto?"
Quickly grinding the beans in the mill, he added them to the ice French press along with the water he generated, then flipped over an ice hourglass before turning to Eto.
"That 'priest'-like entity was very surprised and impressed by the term 'fall from grace'... or rather, the concept of 'fall from grace'. I want to hear more about that term."
"Ah..."
Ryo pondered, placing a finger to his temple in response to Eto's question.
Indeed, he recalled explaining to Eto before that "fall from grace is when something sacred turns into something evil."
However, that was not entirely accurate...
"Well, Eto, you know of the existence of angels, right?"
"Of course. They are those who stand beside God and execute His will."
The "angels" in Fai seem to have the same role as angels on Earth.
Strictly speaking, this isn't entirely true, but generally, when one mentions "angels" on Earth, it refers to beings in Christianity, Judaism, or Islam.
These three religions essentially believe in the same "God," which means that the existence of angels and the roles they assume are nearly the same.
In other words, they exist between God and humans, positioned spiritually between the two...
And the term 'angel' hardly appears in other polytheistic religions...
This is where Ryo’s background from his studies in Western History (though he took a leave of absence after a month) shines.
"Yes, angels are like that. Hmm, from here on, I hope you won't get angry, but... what would happen if such angels left God's side and began doing bad things?"
