At noon today, information about Volume 1 of the book has been revealed!

It's written in the afterword, so please be sure to read until the end.

Additionally, I will write more information about the illustrator and the purchase bonus short story in the "Activity Report."

You can tap either the top of the page where it says Author: Chuu Kou, or the bottom of the page for the author's My Page, to read the Activity Report.

Both links will take you to the same page.

Several days after the liberation war of the Naitorei Kingdom.

In the western part of the kingdom, a carriage stopped at the entrance of the "Forest of the West."

A man in a robe got out.

As the man stepped down, a large load that had been placed on the roof of the carriage was lowered, and the carriage departed for Marquis Hope's Territory.

The robed man dragged the large package into the forest.

However, to those living in Marquis Hope's Territory and others, it was a reckless sight.

Because this was the “Forest of the West,”

A forest where the elves were recognized for their autonomy, and the elves, who had fought fiercely against the Empire, were still on edge...

Swish.

An arrow struck the ground nearby, warning the robed man as he advanced.

"If you take another step, I will shoot your heart next! Turn back and return the way you came!"

A voice echoed a warning through the forest.

However, the robed man continued on without slowing his pace, seemingly oblivious to the voice.

"This guy..."

The elf who shot the arrow muttered in anger.

Another elf echoed his sentiment.

Before long, around ten elves had surrounded the man.

"This is your final warning. If you don't leave immediately, I will kill you!"

The same voice that had warned him earlier cautioned the robed man again.

But the robed man did not stop.

Rather, if one looked closely at his expression, they would notice...

He was faintly smiling.

Perhaps this was the development he had hoped for...

Since being reincarnated as "Fai," he had not encountered the typical tropes of "reincarnation in another world," always just barely avoiding the standard scenarios... but now, finally, here it was!

"Stop it, you fool!"

A voice resonated, pressing down on the surroundings.

That voice struck the elves hiding in the forest surrounding the robed man.

"O-lady Granny?"

One elf asked in a panic.

Emerging from the shadows was the great elder of the Forest of the West, commonly known as lady granny.

"That man is a messenger of King Abel."

"Eh..."

The elves were left speechless by lady granny's words.

They were perhaps still young, inexperienced elves.

Unlike lady granny, they couldn't see the overflowing "fairy factor" emanating from the robed man...

"Ah, lady granny, it's been a while. This is a small token, but it's a gift."

"Lord Ryo, it's been a long time."

Thus, the robed man, Ryo, visited the Forest of the West.

Lady granny and Ryo walked side by side at the front.

Behind them, a dozen elves followed, their expressions uncertain.

"I apologize, Lord Ryo. They mean no harm. However, since being attacked by the Empire, they have become quite sensitive."

"Don't worry about it. The Imperial Army has been sent back home, so things will gradually return to peace."

Ryo could also respond appropriately to the situation when necessary.

Lady granny glanced at the "gift" Ryo was dragging along.

"Lord Ryo, is that really alright? It would be easier to have our people carry it."

"It's fine. I'm just freezing the ground as I pull it along, so I'm not tired at all."

"As expected... Just as Sera said, your magic skills are quite impressive..."

Lady granny nodded in admiration at Ryo's response.

"By the way, where is Sera?"

"Um. She's waiting in the village. I thought if they knew these individuals aimed arrows at Lord Ryo, it would become quite terrible, so I came alone."

At lady granny's words, the elves following them trembled.

It seemed Sera was indeed properly feared even in the Forest of the West.

"Sera... as expected..."

Ryo nodded.

Respect and fear are emotions of a similar nature.

They could be said to be a hair's breadth apart.
