When Ryo and Prince Willy arrived at the site of the attack, there was almost nothing left.
It seemed that someone had collected everything.
After confirming that nothing remained, the two decided to head towards Wingston.
Wingston was the largest city in the Eastern Kingdom and the closest town from their current location.
It would be best if they could meet up with Lord Rodrigo and Corn.
Even if they couldn't meet, the worst-case scenario would be to hire a carriage to take Prince Willy to the royal capital and inform them afterward.
"No, we must prioritize meeting up no matter what. I don't mind if my arrival is a bit delayed," Ryo suggested.
However, Prince Willy immediately rejected the proposal, placing the highest priority on meeting Lord Rodrigo and the others.
The wishes of the employer came first.
Moreover, it was genuinely admirable to see someone who cared for their subordinates.
"Understood. Let's do that."
Upon arriving in Wingston, the first place they headed to was the adventurers' guild.
The leader of the Guardian Adventurers, Corn, was a c-rank adventurer from the Duchy of Inberri.
Since he knew that Ryo was an adventurer from the kingdom, he judged that there was a possibility of contacting him through the adventurers' guild.
Unless they planned to hide their identity, adventurers actively utilized the guild.
"Yes, I have a letter for Ryo, the d-rank adventurer, addressed from Corn, the c-rank adventurer of the Duchy of Inberri."
After confirming Ryo's Guild Card, the receptionist said this and brought a letter from the back.
Inside was a line indicating their accommodation.
Thus, Ryo and Prince Willy were able to reunite with Lord Rodrigo, Corn, and the other guardians and adventurers after several days.
A few days later, the group departed Wingston.
However, there were some changes.
Although their appearances were back to normal...
Due to the attack, all the letters of credit issued by the Juu Kingdom had been lost, leaving Prince Willy and Lord Rodrigo unable to freely withdraw money.
With this state-issued letter of credit, they would have been able to procure local currency from merchants' guilds in various countries...
Currently, Ryo was covering the necessary expenses for the two.
"I'm sorry, Ryo-san," Prince Willy apologized once again.
"No, your highness, please don't worry about it."
By the way, the accommodation fees before Ryo and Prince Willy met up had apparently been covered by the money in Corn's wallet...
"Once we reach the royal capital, we can withdraw money from the embassy, right? Then it's fine. For now, we are not in need of money."
Once they enter the kingdom, things would be easier for them!
The Ryo who had once been a captive of despair due to lack of funds in the Duchy of Inberri's Capital City of Aberdeen was no longer there.
In his place stood a confident Ryo.
I apologize for the shortness... It's an interlude...
Tomorrow (27th) at 12 PM, I will post another interlude.
After that, at 9 PM, I will post the main story "0116 The Royal Capital."
With that, a new chapter will begin!
The new chapter is titled "Chapter Eight: Royal Capital Turmoil." Look forward to it.
