The Water Magician

Chapter 100: House 0093 🏠

Published: July 3, 2025

It's finally the 100th chapter since the "0000 Prologue."

I owe it all to you readers for making it this far.

Thank you!

The next day.

In the morning, Ryo finished some research with Sera at the North Library, had lunch at the Feast Pavilion, and arrived at the adventurers' guild at the promised time with Abel.

Abel was already there, chatting with a little kid he seemed to recognize near the reception.

It was the little kid who noticed Ryo entering the guild before Abel did.

The only water attribute mage Ryo knew besides himself, Natalie from the Royal Magic Guild.

When Abel noticed Ryo entering, he greeted Natalie and came over to Ryo.

"Ryo, you're right on time."

"Is Natalie okay?"

Natalie bowed to the two and then left the guild.

"I received a letter addressed to me from the royal capital, and she brought it with her."

"Ilalion, right?"

Ryo remembered that the letter Natalie had brought to Abel before was from someone named Ilalion in the royal capital.

"You remember only the weird details."

Abel chuckled and tucked away what seemed to be a letter from Ilalion into his chest.

"Welcome, Mr. Abel and Mr. Ryo."

As Abel and Ryo entered the real estate section, the department head, Riplate, stood up to greet them.

They were then led to a reception set.

"We found one property that meets your requirements..."

As tea was served to the three of them, Riplate began, but his words were hesitant.

"That means it's not a property that fits perfectly with your conditions."

When someone starts a conversation this way, it usually means overall it passes but has some issues in details.

"Yes. The problem lies in the location."

"Location?"

The two asked in unison.

"Yes. The property I will introduce is located outside the city."

"!"

This surprised both Abel and Ryo.

Ryo thought they would need some compromises regarding the size of the yard or surrounding houses... but he never expected they would be shown a house outside the city.

Back when he first arrived in the City of Run from the Forest of Rondo with Abel, they had looked over the City of Run from a small hill.

The City of Run stood amidst a golden sea of ripened wheat.

However, he remembered that there were quite a number of houses built around it in that golden sea.

People engaged in agriculture had moved from the city center to the outskirts.

Because of this back and forth, it was said that the gates of the City of Run were never closed at night.

"Is the house you are introducing a farmer's house?"

"Yes. I also visited it yesterday, and aside from the fact that it is outside the city, I can confidently recommend it."

Riplate replied firmly to Ryo's question.

"Then let's go see it for now."

When Ryo said that, both Riplate and Abel stood up.

"I've applied for the use of the guild's carriage, so please wait outside."

Saying that, Riplate headed towards the garage located behind the guild's main building.

"The guild has a carriage, huh?"

"Yeah, there should be about three of them. They are commonly known as guild carriages. One is usually used by the guild master... But in cases like this where guild staff determine it's necessary, permission is granted for use. They are never lent to adventurers."

"That's unfortunate."

Abel preemptively denied what Ryo was thinking.

As the three of them boarded the guild carriage, it started heading north along the main street.

This was the same carriage Ryo had ridden back from the Lord's Manor with Hugh.

After a while, they arrived at the central area of the City of Run, specifically the double barrier square at the dungeon entrance.

Turning right there, they headed east along East Avenue towards the East Gate.

This area was familiar territory for Ryo.

Because nearby was his regular restaurant, the Feast Pavilion.

The fact that the property was close to the East Gate was a high point for Ryo.

Even being outside the "city," it was far more preferable compared to the South Gate or West Gate.

The carriage went through a simple procedure at the East Gate.

They confirmed the Guild Cards of Ryo and Abel, as well as the guild staff card of Riplate and the driver.
