Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

[Akai Matsuri @ ShĹŤsetsuka ni NarĹŤ]
We finally found the stairs leading from the seventy-ninth floor to the eightieth. Had to search for about a day. The staircase down was hidden by a cover, and a crushed minotaur was lying on top of it, so it took time to find.
“…That took forever.”
“Yeah. The longest yet. I never thought a pile of demonic beast meat would be blocking the stairs.”
“No kidding. By the way, you were the one who crushed that huge minotaur, right?”
“…I plead the fifth.”
If not for my extra skill “Luck,” we’d probably have wandered the seventy-ninth floor forever. Can’t deny the power of luck.
“I wonder what the boss this time is.”
“A dragon?”
“…That’d be weird. Isn’t that the sort of thing that shows up on the final floor?”
“Isn’t that how it usually goes?”
“A man’s romantic fantasy, huh.”
We moved forward, avoiding traps that got more dangerous with each floor.
“So we’re heading straight to the boss room?”
“Yeah. Want to level up as fast as possible.”
“But if you don’t practice techniques, your body won’t move right.”
Amelia said something unusually serious.
“I feel like I was insulted really badly just now.”
“You’re imagining it. So? Specifically, what are we doing?”
“We map this floor using only swordsmanship, no skills.”
I’d tried that before. If I remember, I realized it was impossible.
“I tried that once too, but it ended with me admitting you’ll die without skills.”
“That was because you were alone. If two people do it, keeping a safety margin, we’ll be fine.”
Amelia said that casually and reached out her hand to me.
“Magic creation…skill sealing.”
“Huh?”
A pale blue wrapped around me, and I felt my body suddenly grow heavy. Right—Amelia had magic creation. I knew she had it, but who would expect her to use it on an ally here?
“…Amelia, you can’t use Crisis Sense, presence detection, or Presence Concealment now, right?”
“I know. It’s fine.”
I wanted to press her lightly for the reasoning, but there wasn’t time.
“Akira, three huge goblins from the front-right. From their presence, you can tell without using skills.”
“…Tch.”
A few seconds after Amelia announced it, giant goblins equipped with swords and axes—probably scavenged from adventurers who died on higher floors—appeared. I drew Yatogami from my back because it was in the way of my waist and slashed at the first one.
To put it plainly, I didn’t kill a single one. At the last moment before death, Amelia crushed all three huge goblins at once.
