Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

"By the way, you said Noah trained you — how much can you actually move in a fight?"
To be honest, among my classmates the non-combatants' fighting experience hasn't advanced much since we were summoned and went into the Cantinen Labyrinth. I barely saw Hosoyama fight even in the labyrinth, so I didn't really know what she was capable of.
Remembering how disastrous that time was made me feel sick all over again.
If we're talking non-combatants, Amaryllis is the obvious example. Aside from her magical power and job, she's about as ordinary as people get in this world. So in the Forest of Death she just ran and ran. The party we were with meant no monsters were driven toward where Amaryllis fled, and Ria's divine barrier gave literally impenetrable protection, so stray arrows and stones never hurt Amaryllis. Because of that, Amaryllis—who turned out to be unexpectedly thick-skinned—ended up humming and gathering medicinal herbs while we were fighting. She probably knew she could only do that with that particular group, but maybe I should warn her again before she gets off the ship.
Ria might technically be a non-combatant too, but after she obtained the divine inverted barrier she’s been using it to counterattack, so I honestly don’t know how to classify her.
If those wyverns had attacked in a pack, I’m confident I could have taken them all down, but without defensive specialists like Ria or Tsuda I can’t promise I could protect Hosoyama perfectly without a single scratch. Zeal told me the same thing in the Forest of Death: I’m far too specialized in individual offensive power. I’m not good at coordinating with others or protecting someone else.
"Hmm. I haven't fought monsters since Noah trained me, so I don't know exactly how much I've improved. I definitely can't fight on the front lines like Oda and the others, but I think I can move well enough not to be a burden."
She said that, balling her fist and psyching herself up, and I couldn't help but smile wryly.
Given she just saw the wyvern fight a little while ago, having the nerve to stand up and face one is, in a way, a kind of talent. The courage to charge at monsters even heroes can't beat… were they really summoned from a peaceful world alongside us? It wouldn’t surprise me if she’d been born into the wrong world.
Combat sense has to come with experience, but what about her stats? I activated the world eye again. Earlier I focused on skills; this time I checked the numbers.

Compared to combat classes the numbers are considerably lower, but compared to a typical person in this world like Amaryllis they’re definitely higher. Her dagger skill, trained recently, is also fairly high for what it is. And being able to heal her own wounds with Self-Regeneration is strong. At the current skill level it probably only heals minor scratches, but by lv.9, assuming magical power isn't depleted and it’s not instant death, she might be unable to die from ordinary injuries.
"Well, this should be fine. Like I said before, Ria and Tsuda aren't here. I can promise to keep you alive, but I can't guarantee you won't get hurt. Are you okay with that?"
I said that, and Hosoyama smiled and nodded firmly.
"I've been prepared since we were summoned to this world… no, since after we went into the labyrinth. I won't scream over a few injuries now."
She added that, then leaned forward with a mischievous grin and peered up at my face.
"People thought Oda-kun looked scary and that we couldn't tell what you were thinking, so they figured you were some kind of delinquent. But you're actually a kind person. Just knowing that made being summoned here worth it, I think."
