We left the knights to deal with the remaining demonic beasts along the way and returned to the surface at top speed. Night had already fully fallen; the large crowd that had been here before we entered the labyrinth was gone, only a few people scattered about. Apparently nobody entered the labyrinth at this hour.
"We're heading into the woods. Don't get separated."
Commander saran's voice echoed unusually loudly. My classmates were probably exhausted; the chattering from earlier on the way there had gone completely quiet.
To tell the truth, I was tired too. Up in the upper levels I had to clean up after classmates who'd gotten carried away and gone too far. After the traps triggered I used a hidden weapon to take down demonic beasts attacking my classmates, and in the minotaur fight I fired off shadow magic at maximum output.
My magical power, which had been wastefully higher than commander saran's, was almost gone; I had only recovered a little with a magic power potion. No major injuries, but because there had been so many of them I wasn't unscathed.
The worst was the stabbing wound in my side that still hurt. That was from a monkey-like demonic beast whose hands were blades. I had a lot of questions—how does it live like that, etc.—but what mattered was it hurt. I used a Vitality Potion to close the wound for now. It wasn't completely sealed, and because the blood didn't come back I felt a little faint from blood loss.
There was nothing to do since the knights had us perfectly guarded.
Come to think of it, how much had my stats increased? I had delivered the finishing blow to the minotaur, so a level up was certain. In many isekai stories there's a status screen that announces level-ups, but this status apparently didn't do any of that.
"Status."
Making sure no one was listening, I opened my status. I hadn't opened it since I first came to this world.

"...Oh."
"Hmm? Akira, you okay?"
"Ah, sorry. Nothing."
A weird sound slipped out of me.
I wasn't that surprised my level had risen to 15. I had clearly defeated a minotaur stronger than me. If it hadn't gone up at least ten levels that would be a problem. More surprising was that many skill levels had increased without me noticing, and I had newly learned "intimidation" and "roar." I probably acquired those from being exposed to the minotaur's intimidation and roaring.
Commander saran had said that skills you've taken tend to be learned with a high probability. That means the hero probably learned them too—he'd been standing in front of the minotaur to protect everyone, after all.
My stats were three times the initial values. Three times at level 15. I don't know if they increase each level or jump at round numbers, but that's a huge rise.
If my classmates had risen this much too, they'd basically be superhuman in numbers. According to the butler's words on day one, the highest attack power for people in this world is 500. I already had 7.2 times that attack power.
Even so, I struggled against that minotaur because my attacks barely landed. Would people in this world be able to kill that minotaur...? Or are the demonic beasts just that strong? Commander saran, the final bastion of this country, also hardly landed hits except with "thunderlightning." The dagger I borrowed from the armory shattered without tearing its hide. If a minotaur is like that, the demon king might just make your body vanish on approach.
"Alright, we've arrived safely. We'll call roll by group and then dismiss."
