The amount of empty breath was so overwhelming this time that even the Thunder Power within Qin Chen's body could not eliminate it all in a short period.
It wasn't that the Thunder Power wasn't strong enough, but rather that Qin Chen's cultivation level was currently too weak, while the power of the void surrounding him seemed almost endless.
"This young master doesn't believe it."
With his eyes turning crimson and a wild expression on his face, Qin Chen unleashed all of his source power from within.
Since the Thunder Power could not hold back so much of the void power in a short period, other powers would be completely repelled upon contact with this void power, unable to withstand for long. The only force that could slightly resist it was the totemic power of the Ancient Emperor Senior of the Void Tidal Sea.
As Qin Chen activated the Ancient Emperor totemic power within him, he felt an inexplicable heartbeat, as if an unknown force was seeping in from the void, colliding violently with the empty breath.
But even with this power's aid, the Ancient Emperor totemic power within Qin Chen could only withstand for a moment before shattering into dust.
Although the Ancient Emperor Senior had reached the end of the great emperor path and stepped into that realm, he was still far from the likes of the Underworld Deity.
Seeing that Qin Chen was about to collapse, suddenly, a force of sin merged with the empty breath upon contact, transforming into an extremely gentle power that instantly surged throughout Qin Chen's body.
"What... what is happening?"
Qin Chen was momentarily stunned. Previously, regardless of the power, any interaction with this empty breath would be crushed or shattered. Even when he had summoned powers from the Yellow Spring River, he was unable to resist. How could he have imagined that the power of the Eternal Calamity Sea would change so drastically upon interacting with the empty breath?
This empty breath not only failed to extinguish the power of the Eternal Calamity Sea, but instead merged with it, with no conflict between the two forces.
"What is going on?"
What shocked Qin Chen even more was that after the weakened empty breath merged with the power of the Eternal Calamity Sea, it suddenly became gentle, and as this gentle power spread throughout Qin Chen's body, he felt his physical body gradually improving and healing.
The empty breath no longer exhibited any hostility; rather, it was mending Qin Chen's battered body. Accompanying this healing, Qin Chen was astonished to find that his physical strength, which had previously hit a bottleneck and was impossible to increase, was actually rising again.
Qin Chen was completely dumbfounded; he never expected the Eternal Calamity Sea could have such an effect.
"Why can the power of the Underworld Dark Moon Empress neutralize this empty breath? Is it because her power of sin is incredibly terrifying?"
Qin Chen speculated but quickly shook his head.
In terms of terror, the Underworld Dark Moon Empress's power seemed unable to compare to that of the Ancient Emperor Senior or the Senior God of Inverse Slaughter, right?
"Could it be that the Underworld Dark Moon Empress, being an Underworld Expert, has a power of sin that is in fact the power of the Underworld itself, making it more unique compared to the Ancient Emperor Senior and the Senior God of Inverse Slaughter?"
Another guess floated in Qin Chen's mind, but he soon dismissed it again. The Underworld Dark Moon Empress was indeed an Underworld Expert, but the Five Peaks Underworld Emperor, the Emperor of the Ten Halls of Yan, and the Netherworld Emperor were all Underworld Experts as well. Qin Chen had previously used powers from the River of Forgetfulness and the Water of the Yellow Spring River to resist but had been crushed instantly by the empty breath.
What could the reason be?
Qin Chen felt puzzled, but he didn't have the luxury of time to ponder further. The endless empty breath continued to surge forth, and he could only desperately activate the Killing Intent Shield to fend off more of the incoming empty breath, while simultaneously allowing the power of the Eternal Calamity Sea within him to neutralize it.
