Using soul power to repair these Divine Pillars?
Qin Chen looked up, his brow slightly furrowed, recalling the divine soul devouring power he had sensed in the great hall earlier.
For some reason, he felt that what the light shadow said was strange, as if something was amiss.
“Senior, may I have a look at those Divine Pillars?” Qin Chen asked the light shadow.
“Feel free,” the light shadow replied with a relaxed smile. “If you want to repair this treasure of mine, you must first go take a look.”
Qin Chen nodded and instantly soared into the air.
The Divine Pillars stood majestically tall, and after flying for a while, he finally arrived in front of one of them.
The Divine Pillar was incredibly massive; from a distance, it appeared to be just a pillar, but as Qin Chen got closer, it resembled a collapsed mountain peak. The broken section of the pillar looked as if it had been torn apart by some terrifying force, creating a scene of horrific ruins, with countless ravines and hills stretching into the Endless Void.
Qin Chen gasped in shock.
Standing before this broken face of the Divine Pillar, Qin Chen felt like an ant standing in front of an enormous skyscraper.
Was this really just a pillar? It was clearly an expansive plain, formed from some special metal.
“That is…” Suddenly, Qin Chen looked deeper into the plain and saw patches of dark brown blood within a valley deep in the platform of the broken Divine Pillar.
This blood had been left there for countless years, now blurred and dried, yet it still emitted a haunting divine aura.
“Don’t look at those bloodstains.”
At that moment, the light shadow suddenly cried out, trying to stop Qin Chen.
But it was already too late; Qin Chen's gaze had fallen on the pool of blood.
Boom!
The instant that brown blood entered Qin Chen's sight, an overwhelming aura of death surged directly into his mind.
This terrifying aura felt like a dark tsunami crashing toward him, as if a hundred million volcanoes erupted simultaneously. The shock was so immense that Qin Chen’s mind trembled violently, as if he had plunged into an ice cellar; he felt cold all over, his thoughts momentarily halted, as if he had fallen into an endless abyss.
Pitch black.
He couldn’t see his own hand!
“Those who offend the Underworld shall die…” A thunderous roar echoed in Qin Chen's mind, sounding as if a giant was howling.
Qin Chen felt as if his mind was about to explode, his entire body on the verge of bursting; a splitting headache ensued. The vast sea of souls stirred like boiling water, instantly reaching a boiling point.
Boom!
The soul boiled and began to burn. In a daze, Qin Chen seemed to see a towering black figure engaged in a fierce battle with another terrifying being.
This towering figure was surrounded by an endless aura of death, far more powerful than the Emperor of the Underworld. With a simple gesture, it tore apart a sword-shaped treasure, causing a cataclysmic roar as if the heavens and earth were collapsing, akin to the apocalypse.
“Ah…”
Qin Chen cried out in agony, body wracked with pain, cold sweat pouring down him.
That was merely a scene, but upon witnessing it, Qin Chen found himself unable to withstand the terrifying intent conveyed, and his sea of souls began to slowly collapse.
“Not good.”
Outside, the light shadow's expression changed dramatically.
“This is troublesome, very troublesome.”
The light shadow’s face turned grim as it quickly manipulated the surrounding killing intent.
With a thunderous boom, a terrifying killing aura surged into the sky, directly engulfing Qin Chen’s body, attempting to fend off the intrusion of this powerful force.
But it was futile.
The strength of this death divine power rapidly withered Qin Chen's life aura, and even this terrifying killing intent could not stop it.
Just as Qin Chen’s soul was on the verge of collapsing under this will, suddenly, a terrifying lightning surged from the depths of his sea of souls.
With a thunderous boom, a vast expanse of blue lightning quickly enveloped Qin Chen's sea of souls.
