Martial Master

Chapter 339: A Simple Gesture ✋

Published: November 30, -0001

This group of martial artists, the vast majority at Earth Level cultivation, how could they withstand the blood beast at Heaven Level? Not even one round of defense, and they had already become food under the mouth of the three-eyed salamander.

"This damned beast!"

A middle-aged man gripped his battle knife, his muscles bulging, erupting with an astonishing force as he swung a blade toward the three-eyed salamander.

Whoosh!

A sharp blade light, like a curtain of heavens, surged forth, slicing directly at the three-eyed salamander.

The blade light contained incredible true energy, at least of Heaven Level cultivation. If it hit, it would at least injure the three-eyed salamander.

However, the three-eyed salamander moved exceptionally fast, already on guard. The moment the middle-aged man made his move, its limbs swung, and its form darted like a phantom, evading the blade light's attack, then quickly lunged at the other two guards, its tongue darting out.

Whoosh!

The bright red tongue, over two meters long, pierced through one guard's skull, bursting through his head and spraying blood and brain matter everywhere.

"Ah!"

The middle-aged man roared in anger, his body glowing with a yellowish light. The power in his hand surged, and waves of thick blade light swept out like surging tides, stirring up monstrous waves in the forest.

But it was useless; he couldn't even touch the body of the three-eyed salamander. He could only watch helplessly as it continued to slaughter his guards one after another.

Although the three-eyed salamander was large, its speed was incredibly fast. Even a peak mid-Heaven Level martial artist would find it difficult to injure it, let alone this guy who was merely at the peak of early Heaven Level cultivation.

Not far away, on a large tree, a figure appeared, observing the scene below.

It was Qin Chen.

He had originally planned to traverse the Xuan Zhong Mountain Range and enter the Martial City, but upon hearing the sounds of fighting nearby, he had followed the noise and witnessed this scene.

The three-eyed salamander, a rare blood beast, was a treasure trove itself. Various organs within it could be used for medicinal purposes, and its third eye had particularly high medicinal value, capable of treating many diseases, making it very precious.

He didn't expect these few people to actually find a three-eyed salamander.

Unfortunately, they lacked the strength; even if they found the treasure, they would be powerless to take it back and would instead die from their greed.

Whoosh!

The three-eyed salamander, surrounded by nearly ten guards, constantly weaved through their ranks. Its massive body, paired with its long, thin tongue over two meters long, moved so fast that it could hardly be seen. Coupled with its agile tail, it was practically invincible.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

In the blink of an eye, three more guards let out horrified screams, dying beneath its long tongue and massive tail.

"Damn it!"

The middle-aged man shouted angrily, attacking frantically but unable to do anything against it. Other than chopping up the forest into disarray, he failed to deal any significant damage to the three-eyed salamander.

Even when he occasionally hit it, he left only a few minor wounds, merely scratches that couldn't stop the three-eyed salamander's movements.

Whoosh!

After slaying several terrified guards, the three-eyed salamander's strange eyeballs shifted, suddenly locking onto the red-clothed girl not far away. It swayed and charged toward her.

“Get away from her!”

Seeing this, the young man in green's face changed drastically. He quickly stepped in front of the red-clothed girl, thrusting his sword.

This man had decent cultivation, in his twenties, at the peak of late Earth Level. A faint true energy swirled around his long sword, creating a sharp sound as it cut through the air.

However, no matter how fast he was, he couldn't match the speed of the three-eyed salamander. In the blink of an eye, it had already reached his side. With a collision, he was sent flying like a broken bag, spraying blood from his mouth.
