Chapter 1527: Unexpected Incident ⚡️

Published: November 30, -0001

As the stone door opened, a strong and chilling yin wind suddenly swept out. Although everyone quickly activated their protective true energy, they were still pushed back several steps by this wind, feeling as if their blood had frozen, an overwhelming coldness mixed with a hint of soul-dominating pressure.

"What a strange stone chamber!"

Five stone coffins, four small and one large, appeared before them in a most eerie manner, sending shivers down their spines.

However, now that they were here, how could they retreat? They proceeded directly into the stone chamber.

Suddenly...

Flames ignited within the stone chamber, and the entire area was illuminated by bone lanterns scattered throughout. Under the flickering light, numerous black patterns were etched into the walls of the chamber, sinister and malevolent, emanating a horrifying chill.

"What place is this? Could it be the resting place of ancient strongmen from this prehistoric ruin?"

Someone spoke up, their teeth chattering.

Even a Martial Emperor would not fear much, but the sinister and bizarre atmosphere here was enough to instill fear, difficult to suppress.

The stone chamber was quite empty, with only five coffins quietly resting.

The coffins seemed to be made of some unknown stone material, exuding an exceptionally dense yin energy. Even from a distance, one could feel a chill trying to invade their body and freeze their blood.

"Each coffin has a treasure weapon!"

Wei Xingguang's eyes lit up. The treasure weapons were pitch black and filled with yin energy, yet they retained a deep, ancient aura, as if they had withstood the test of time and were far from ordinary.

Were they top-tier imperial weapons? Or... imperial artifacts?

Except for Qin Chen and a few others, the eyes of the others grew fervent, eager to rush in and seize the treasure weapons. The first to move was Wei Xingguang; among them, he was one of the four major late-stage Martial Emperors. However, his ancient Fang Sect had harvested the least in their prior endeavors, and many of his fellow disciples had perished, leaving none alive. Naturally, he couldn’t bear this.

Whoosh!

With a flicker of protective true energy, Wei Xingguang dashed towards the coffin closest to him.

"Wei brother, don’t act rashly; let’s settle the distribution first!" both Shang Wuji and Yue Zhongkui reminded him simultaneously.

Wei Xingguang sneered and did not slow his pace.

"Got it!"

In a flash, Wei Xingguang appeared before the central coffin, reaching out to grasp the treasure weapon atop it. It was a pitch-black battle knife, serrated and cold, one of the weapons he desired most.

"So cold!" As he grasped the treasure weapon, Wei Xingguang shuddered. The black battle knife felt as if it were forged from eternal ice, an intense cold energy coursing from his palm up his arm, his entire right arm enveloped in a thin layer of black mist, chilling him to the bone.

His true energy felt as if it would freeze alongside it.

"What a treasure!"

The colder the battle knife was, the more ecstatic Wei Xingguang became. He pulled hard, but the black battle knife seemed fixed to the coffin, unable to be extracted.

"What?!"

Wei Xingguang was taken aback; with his strength, he could lift a small hill, so how could he not lift a mere knife?

Boom!

He increased his strength, and the whole coffin creaked ominously.

"Damn it, Wei Xingguang is too despicable; how can he take all the treasure weapons for himself?"

The usually refined Shang Wuji was now anxious. With a cold snort, he darted directly to the largest of the five coffins, reaching for the weapon above, clearly unwilling to waste time.

Seeing Shang Wuji move, Yue Zhongkui also couldn't hold back any longer and lunged toward one of the coffins to seize the weapon.

Ji Ruyue and the others saw this and were about to act, but were stopped by Qin Chen.

"Don’t rush; let’s observe for now." Qin Chen said, his eyes narrowing, appearing quite calm.

Seeing Qin Chen’s group not move, Shang Wuji, who had reached the large coffin, was momentarily taken aback. "Qin Young Hero, don’t you want the treasure weapons?"
