"Hmph, if you dare to speak another word about Chen Shao, I will cut out their tongues."

You Qianxue coldly snorted.

The faces of several Martial Emperors darkened at her words, but they didn’t dare to say a thing.

"You just mentioned that these insect beast puppets are testing our strength?" Wei Xingguang suddenly spoke.

"That's right, but it's just my suspicion. However, given the earlier situation, it does seem that way; otherwise, how could we have charged out so easily?" Shang Wuji said solemnly.

Wei Xingguang and Yue Zhongkui exchanged glances, both frowning.

"What exactly does this palace relic want to do?" The two were puzzled, sensing something earlier but unable to pinpoint it.

An hour later, everyone’s injuries were mostly healed.

"Let's continue forward. This place is fraught with danger, and I hope we can unite and not create unnecessary conflicts again," Shang Wuji advised.

The insect beast puppets they encountered earlier were likely just an appetizer, lacking real danger, but what lay ahead was uncertain. If they didn't unite, they would undoubtedly perish.

Shang Wuji continued to lead the way, believing that during such a time, no one would cause trouble.

As they passed through the corridor, they arrived at a central hall, which served merely as a resting area. There were several restrooms on either side. The group excitedly rushed in, only to find it completely empty.

Based on the layout, this place increasingly resembled a testing ground of the Demon Tribe.

After a moment, they left the hall and directly exited through the passage in front.

Once outside the hall, everyone suddenly halted.

Before them lay a vast stone forest. The stone forest was split into two, with a narrow black stone path in the middle, which was the only way to the other side. Within the stone forest, purple lights flickered, shimmering like countless fireflies dancing, breathtakingly brilliant.

Strange!

The first feeling that washed over everyone was strangeness; an inexplicable sense of danger surfaced in their minds, as if the path ahead were the gaping maw of an abyss, and stepping in would mean life-threatening peril.

However, upon closer inspection, they could discern nothing unusual in the stone forest. Besides the distant flickering purple lights, there was nothing else.

"What should we do?"

Everyone exchanged glances.

"What can we do? Of course, we move forward."

Having come this far, none wanted to retreat, especially since going back would not ensure their safety. They were unwilling to charge through that corridor filled with insect beast puppets again.

Without saying much, Shang Wuji took a deep breath and stepped forward.

On the serene little path, a thick mist hung ahead, unfathomable. The stone forest was dense and tranquil, exuding an eerie stillness.

On either side, purple glowing points drifted about. As they got closer, they realized these glowing points were actually tiny purple bugs, similar to fireflies, very small with no dangerous aura.

At first, everyone was tense, but after walking for a while without incident, they began to relax, as the purple "fireflies" showed no signs of aggression, and the stone forest posed no immediate threat.

"What peculiar bugs; is this the 'specialty' of this place?"

A tiny purple bug flew over and attempted to land on one of the Martial Emperors' shoulders, glowing faintly.

That Martial Emperor was startled, trying to dodge but too late, watching helplessly as the purple bug landed on him, remaining still.

Everyone's hairs stood on end, fearing some unforeseen change, while that Martial Emperor turned pale with fright.

But after a moment, nothing happened.

"Damn it, that scared me to death."

The Martial Emperor cursed, thinking the purple bug was some terrifying creature, only to find it harmless. Infuriated, he swatted it off.

Boom!

A burst of intense purple light exploded, the resulting shockwave knocking several people off their feet and blinding them.

"Ah!"

The proud Martial Emperor writhed in pain on the ground, half of his arm completely gone, a chunk of his shoulder blown off, his face blackened and smoking.
