Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

“Ugh... haah... haah...”
Right after using my supernatural ability, my body was suddenly overwhelmed by a heavy fatigue.
(This is so exhausting...)
“Geez, Gibua, what are you doing? Mr. Shion is super annoyed, so just kill him already!”
A woman who had been watching our battle shouted out.
“I’m not annoyed. But I do wonder why it’s taking so long.”
The woman in the robe also spoke.
“Tch, I’ll kill him right now, so just wait! — I played around a bit too much. Next time, I’ll definitely kill him.”
A strong pressure radiated from the man.
(?! Scary... But compared to the pressure from the black dragon...!)
If I hadn’t experienced the pressure from the black dragon, I might have lost the will to fight at this point.
“Sophie, unleash every offensive magic you have! It’s fine if you hit me with it!”
I constructed five techniques simultaneously.
(Huh? Why!? — No, that doesn’t matter!)
“—!”
I simultaneously activated three Thunder Arrows and two Earth Thorns (rock needles).
Log attacked with a spear made from an earthen weapon, focusing mainly on thrusting, just like before.
But he wasn’t just doing that — he also activated basic magic like Thunder Shock.
...Just like Mr. Orun.
However, against the even sharper and stronger big man, it had absolutely no effect.
◇
(Stop!)
“Tch, again?!”
This was yet another exchange of offense and defense.
Fatigue kept accumulating, but ignoring that, I forcibly reset the battle by stopping the big man’s movements with my supernatural ability.
While obstructing the big man’s attacks with my supernatural power, Log and I managed to fight through teamwork.
But I knew it was a losing battle.
Even if we defeated this big man, there were still three others remaining. And in the first place, I didn’t know how much longer I could keep using my supernatural ability.
—And finally, I reached my limit.
“...Ugh...”
“Gwah...!”
Log was thrown back violently.
I couldn’t completely halt the big man’s movements with my supernatural ability, and Log finally took damage.
Fortunately, it didn’t seem like a serious injury, but next time...
“Finally. Well, you kids did hold on for a while, huh? I’ll make it quick and put you out of your misery now.”
The big man walked toward me, who was on my knees and too exhausted to move.
Scary...
I don’t want this...
I don’t want to die...
Big sister...
Mr. Orun...
“Stoppppp!”
Ignoring Log’s shout, the big man raised his sword.
Right after, a loud explosion sounded behind him.
“...Huh?”
At the moment the big man looked in that direction, a gust of wind blew past beside me.
“—Dry.”
“Gwah!?”
Then I heard the big man’s surprised voice grow fainter and fainter, followed by another loud sound.
“Sorry for being late.”
Confused and unsure of what had just happened, I heard the voice I most wanted to hear right now.
When I looked up, there was Mr. Orun’s back.
“Mr. Orun...”
Mr. Orun had come.
The sense of relief made the tears I’d been holding back finally fall.
“Yeah, I’m here. You did well. You’re amazing. It’s alright now. Don’t worry. I’ll take it from here.”
