CHAPTER 53: Too Bad It's Not You

As Chen Chu went about his busy routine of attending school, practicing, and managing his clones, several days passed in the blink of an eye.

On October 21st, a Sunday, the weather was clear.

At eight-thirty in the morning, Chen Chu did not wear his school uniform; instead, he opted for a white t-shirt and gray pants, completed with white flat shoes, giving him a very casual look.

Having just finished breakfast, Chen Hu, who was lying on the sofa playing on his phone, curiously asked, “Bro, are you going out?”

Chen Chu nodded, “Yeah, I have plans with friends to go see the lotus flowers.”

Chen Hu's eyes lit up immediately as he sat up, “Is it a guy or a girl? Is Sister Luo Fei going?”

“...What kind of reaction is that?” Chen Chu was speechless.

Chen Hu chuckled, “I’m just concerned about you, bro. Just tell me if you’re going with Sister Luo Fei.”

“She’s going too.”

“That’s great! Bro, hurry and go have fun, I need to go to a classmate’s house later too.” As he spoke, Chen Hu urged him to leave quickly, making Chen Chu shake his head.

Not much of a person, yet thinking too much.

After waiting a few minutes at the bus station, Chen Chu boarded the bus heading to the meeting point.

Bright Moon Lake is located on the outskirts of the city to the east. Although it is called a lake, it is actually a scenic area consisting of several small lakes of varying sizes, attracting many visitors each year when the lotus flowers bloom.

When Chen Chu arrived at the entrance of the scenic area, he realized he was the last to arrive; Lin Xue, Xia Youhui, Luo Fei, Lu Haitao, and Li Wenwen were already waiting for him.

Additionally, there was Lin Yu, whom he had met at the ranking competition, along with another boy and girl.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Chen Chu said, “Sorry, the bus was a bit congested today.”

Lin Xue waved it off, “It’s fine, we only just got here, and we said we’d meet at ten—there are still a few minutes before we’re late.”

Today, Lin Xue was also dressed casually, wearing a white short-sleeved t-shirt on top and tight-fitting jeans on the bottom, her slim waist and straight legs accentuated. Her slightly curled purple hair was pinned back with a clip.

Coupled with her stunning face, she appeared refined and capable, exuding the aura of a beautiful girl.

The others were also dressed quite casually; for example, Xia Youhui and Lu Haitao wore t-shirts, casual pants, and sneakers, similar to Chen Chu.

In contrast to the boys, the girls were much better dressed.

For instance, Luo Fei was wearing a two-layer outfit today; the outer layer was a transparent white chiffon, while the red t-shirt underneath clung to her body, accentuating her slim waist.

Her lower half was clad in straight cropped pants, exposing her fair ankles and delicate feet adorned with silver high-heeled sandals.

Her hair was styled as usual, tied back with a white butterfly ribbon, while some bangs fell to frame her face, which was as pale and smooth as congealed fat.

She wore a silver crystal necklace around her neck and a pair of silver butterfly earrings that glimmered in the sunlight, making her appear as though she was glowing.

Today, the girl’s exquisitely charming outfit left Chen Chu in awe.

When Luo Fei caught Chen Chu's gaze, she felt slightly shy, her eyes flickering as she pretended to casually tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, slightly turning her head away.

At that moment, a girl who looked exactly like Lin Xue, with an exquisite face but blue-tipped hair, walked over with a smile, saying, “Hello, Chen. I’m Lin Yu from Class Nine.”

In contrast to the poised and commanding class leader Lin Xue, who acted decisively and passionately, Lin Yu’s voice was gentle, just like her attire.

She wore a blue and white patterned dress, with long hair cascading smoothly over her shoulders, radiating a soft and beautiful aura that was very comfortable to be around.

Since she greeted him first, Chen Chu naturally smiled back as he said, “Hello, it’s an honor to finally meet you, Lin Yu.”
