CHAPTER: The Great High Priest Surrounds and Kills Chen Chu
Tens of thousands of kilometers away from the Heavenly Canopy Battlefield, on the peak of a black mountain behind the base of the Infernal Clan, a small stream of seven-colored light flows, emitting a dreamlike glow.
Sitting cross-legged above the colorful stream is an old and emaciated Infernal True Demon, whose breath is weak, like a candle flickering in the wind.
At this moment, the elderly Infernal True Demon slightly bows its head, its murky gaze quietly observing the flowing seven-colored stream, seemingly trying to see through it to discover something.
In the distance, at the edge of a cliff, Dioreus sits atop the head of an ancient creature covered in spikes, its pressure restrained, waiting with a cold expression.
Suddenly, the elderly Infernal True Demon slowly raises its head and hoarsely states, “Your Majesty Dioreus, that human has already left the Human Race territory.”
“Has he finally come out?”
Endless dark flames burn in Dioreus's eyes, filled with a terrifying majesty, as it speaks in a deep voice, “Has that human reached the front line battlefield?”
The elderly Infernal True Demon slowly shakes its head, its voice hoarse, “On the front line battlefield, I have not seen any fate line related to that human.”
This elderly Infernal True Demon holds a special status as the destined high priest of the Infernal Empire, cultivating “fate,” second only to the two demon gods Dioreus.
Fate is elusive and intangible, a special power system gained when the Infernal Clan annihilated a civilization race, integrated into the bloodline inheritance of the Infernal Clan.
Those who can awaken the power of fate among the Infernal True Demons are extremely rare, and each one becomes a high priest of the Demon God Empire, supported in cultivation by the power of an entire nation.
However, fate is hard to predict, and every glimpse into fate comes with an irreversible price. Therefore, unless it involves a crisis for the empire, Dioreus would not let it act.
Dioreus speaks in a low voice, “That Chu the Dominator has left the Human Race territory but has not entered the front line battlefield; it seems the Human Race also knows we are targeting him.”
“This person should have entered the vast world through the Human Race's external expansion, cultivating and exploring ruins. He likely won’t appear on the front line battlefield again until he breaks through to the Great Demon King level.”
“It’s a pity that the pieces on the side of the alliance of deities have been destroyed, and we cannot mobilize forces to investigate Chu the Dominator’s whereabouts, so we can only trouble you, high priest.”
For a talented individual who astonished an era, every race has protective “mechanisms.” Dioreus had long anticipated this.
After all, in the previous Sky Abyss Battlefield, it had made two attempts to suppress that human genius.
But as long as you enter the vast world, I have ways to find you. Dioreus's expression is indifferent as it asks, “High Priest, can you see his exact location?”
The high priest slowly shakes his head, his voice hoarse, “This human's fate line is very blurry and continuously changing. Previously, I burned a thousand years of life just to see that he was not within the Human Race territory.”
“However, I have already captured a trace of his fate aura, and as long as his fate fluctuates again, I will be able to pinpoint his location in an instant.”
Saying this, the high priest extends a sharp black finger to point at the void, where two golden rays emerge from the seven-colored stream, transforming in the air into the names of Chen Chu and Chu the Dominator, radiating a dim glow.
After doing this, the high priest's aura weakens again, appearing even older, and a decaying aura emanates from him, as if he could die at any moment.
“However, Your Majesty, directly peering into his location through fate may result in significant backlash from supreme destiny.”
