CHAPTER TEXT:

On the ocean surface, the sword armored flame beast let out a deep roar.

“Roar!! What do you want from me?”

The massive unicorn orca rolled over, sending towering waves splashing, but the sound it emitted was very gentle.

“Whimper whimper!! I found something good, let’s go get it together.”

Instantly, the sword armored flame beast perked up.

“Roar!! What’s guarding that place?”

This unicorn orca was not foolish; if it was simply about benefits, it wouldn’t come looking for help. It was obvious that the location was either narrow or guarded by powerful mutated beasts.

“Whimper whimper!! It’s a bit small there, I can't get in, and there are two annoying guys guarding it.”

Although the two beasts could communicate through mental waves, the communication was quite vague. After all, this orca did not possess human-like thoughts or awareness.

After some rough clarification, the sword armored flame beast decided to follow after determining that the so-called two annoying creatures were a bit shorter than the unicorn orca.

As long as they weren't high-level mutated beasts larger than the unicorn orca, the sword armored flame beast was confident it could subdue them. Thus, it declared, “Roar!! Lead the way, let’s take them down.”

“Whimper whimper!! Let’s take them down.”

The unicorn orca turned its massive body and led the way toward the open sea, with the sword armored flame beast following closely behind, its sharp black spines slashing through the waves.

“Whimper whimper!!” As they passed a group of orcas, the calves curiously looked at the sword armored flame beast, making childish sounds as if greeting it.

This time, they traveled even further than before. The whale and the beast swam for nearly two hours before stopping, and then the unicorn orca dove down.

Seeing this, the sword armored flame beast followed. In just a moment, the two mutated beasts had reached a depth of one thousand meters in the ocean, surrounded by complete darkness and icy water.

At this depth, the sword armored flame beast maximized its perception, avoiding being ambushed by deep sea behemoths lurking in the dark.

“Whimper whimper!! We’re almost there.”

Ahead came the call of the unicorn orca, although the sound was very faint, only traveling a few dozen meters before being swallowed by the waves.

Sure enough, after swimming for a few more kilometers, the unicorn orca gradually slowed, prompting the sword armored flame beast to decelerate, matching its long and muscular form.

It also realized why the whale had stopped.

Over a hundred meters away in the pitch-black seabed, a mountain hundreds of meters tall rose abruptly. But that wasn’t the most important part; there was a cave halfway up the mountain.

The cave emitted a faint blue glow, and two two-headed mutated giant pythons, measuring twenty-seven meters and nineteen meters in length, were coiled around it, their bodies covered in blue and white scales.

The larger python had a sharp horn on each of its two heads, resembling a Flood Dragon, exuding an overwhelming sense of pressure.

From the indistinct aura emanating from them, the sword armored flame beast could tell that these two-headed pythons were extremely powerful, significantly stronger than other mutated beasts of the same size.

No wonder this creature sought it out; it was clear that even if there were no size limitations imposed by the cave, the unicorn orca would not necessarily be able to defeat them.

Or perhaps it just wouldn’t choose to take that risk.

Through observation over this period, the sword armored flame beast discovered that these deep-sea mutated beasts primarily chose their prey based on size and biological type.

Under normal circumstances, a mutated beast that was twenty meters long would not hunt targets of similar size but would instead prey on those smaller than ten meters.

This was to avoid injury and the attention of stronger mutated creatures.

Creatures like the sword armored flame beast, which sought prey significantly larger than themselves, were almost nonexistent since, under normal circumstances, that would be suicidal behavior.
