CHAPTER 36: Allocation of Cave Dwellings
With a wave of his sleeve, ten spiritual stones were stored into his storage bag.
Senior Brother Qian then realized that his eating manner seemed a bit unseemly. He coughed twice and beckoned Liu Yu to sit down, saying gently, “Congratulations, junior brother, on your promotion to the inner sect!”
“Three years ago, I thought junior brother’s skills were exceptional, but I didn’t expect that in just three years, you’ve made even greater progress!”
“I’ll take care of the cave dwelling matter. I’ll make sure to arrange a satisfactory cave for you!”
This Senior Brother Qian was known for handling matters efficiently once he received benefits, and he had a good reputation among the numerous disciples.
“Not at all, I am merely fortunate. I hope Senior Brother Qian can put in more effort regarding the cave dwelling.”
Liu Yu smiled and exchanged a few pleasantries with Senior Brother Qian.
He then took out the silver leaf given by Geng Yuanzhang and handed it over, saying, “Senior Brother Qian, this is a token from Uncle Geng of the Hall of Right Origin.”
“Uncle Geng instructed me to bring this to the Administrative Hall. He mentioned that it could help in allocating a cave on Qingling Peak.”
Senior Brother Qian accepted the silver leaf, recognizing it as Uncle Geng’s token, and couldn’t help but regard Liu Yu with much more respect.
In the past decade, only two people had received such a token from Uncle Geng, and both were outstanding figures in the inner sect.
The fact that this junior brother had gained Uncle Geng’s favor indicated that he indeed had some exceptional qualities.
Qingling Peak was one of the spiritual mountains in the inner sect with the densest spiritual energy, where the spiritual vein was rated at the peak of the first grade, on the verge of an upgrade.
Its spiritual energy was at least twenty percent richer than that of other spiritual mountains in the inner sect, significantly accelerating the cultivation speed.
Ten spiritual stones could only arrange for a slightly better cave dwelling, and anything better was beyond his authority.
To allocate a cave on Qingling Peak, it was necessary to properly negotiate with the foundation establishment steward in charge of such matters. However, with Uncle Geng's favor, this task would likely be successful.
Thinking of this, Senior Brother Qian already placed Liu Yu on an equal footing in his mind.
Regardless of whether this junior brother had a relationship with Uncle Geng or genuinely possessed extraordinary talent, it was no longer something he could easily manipulate.
With that in mind, Senior Brother Qian stood up.
He prepared to find the foundation establishment steward to report the situation and apply for a cave on Qingling Peak, no longer daring to maintain an authoritative demeanor.
“Junior Brother Liu, please wait. The cave dwelling matter on Qingling Peak still needs to be reported to the steward.”
“However, with this token, it is almost guaranteed. I’ll be back soon.”
Senior Brother Qian said politely, then quickly walked towards the back hall.
Liu Yu quietly sat at the table waiting.
He could sense the change in Senior Brother Qian's attitude and understood the reason, but he had no intention of explaining.
If he could leverage Uncle Geng’s influence to accomplish this matter, that would be great.
About half an hour later, Senior Brother Qian walked out of the back hall with a smile, holding a scroll in his hand.
He walked to the table, slowly unfurling the scroll while explaining, “Congratulations, Junior Brother Liu. The foundation establishment steward has agreed to this matter.”
“This is the scroll indicating the position of the cave on Qingling Peak. The yellow dots represent occupied dwellings, while the green dots indicate temporary vacancies.”
“Please choose one!”
Liu Yu nodded slightly and looked around.
On the map, the situation of Qingling Peak was drawn out. Different colors represented varying densities of spiritual energy.
