Doomsday Summoning Frenzy

Chapter 775: Green Light 🌌

Published: March 2, 2025

“Below, below! If you're still alive, make a sound!”

The noise from above made Lolo perk up her antennae, while the nearby Blackhead could no longer contain his impatience, emitting a muffled “chirp” sound.

He didn’t just chirp once, clearly he was anxious…

It wasn’t until the digging sounds from above broke through that Lolo came to her senses, recalling the recent chaos, making her shrink back in fear, trembling all over.

The battlefield is a paradise for the strong, a hell for the weak, and a disaster and calamity for those even weaker!

Lolo and the nearby ant race undoubtedly belonged to the weakest among the weak—they couldn’t even be counted as combatants. The moment the demonic clan launched their attack, these low-powered little creatures were only fit to hide in the dug-out burrows, shivering and waiting for the outcome of the war; if victorious, they lived, if defeated, they died.

What’s more tragic is that victory and defeat do not depend on them.

However, even without participating in the battle above, the aftermath of war still found them—while a fierce battle raged above, no one paid attention to the energy waves surging around. The battle between the mutated beasts and demonic creatures at level four and five, even the residual energy from the fight was enough to crack the earth, causing thousands of energy waves strong enough to whip up fierce winds and trigger earthquakes.

The underground was not safe…

Although some burrowing demonic creatures did not come after Lolo and her kin, the overwhelming energy still caused the burrows to collapse, as falling debris and soil crashed down, appearing to the ant swarm as a cataclysm.

Death was inevitable…

But today, the goddess of luck indeed bestowed blessings upon Lolo and her kin—the countless ant swarm only lost a small portion, with the rest hiding in this dark burrow, managing to survive until the battle ended.

Until now…

The light from above grew brighter until the entrance, previously blocked by rubble, was completely cleared, revealing a massive armored scorpion peering down.

“Lucky little ones.”

The insectoid race commander Blackskin muttered, followed by a sound of wriggling from above as countless demonic creature corpses rained down.

“Victory in battle means food galore, today’s extra rations, hurry up and eat, finish eating and get back to work, keep digging down.”

Blackskin briefly instructed before his massive figure gradually disappeared above.

At the moment Blackskin turned, Lolo noticed a small segment of his tail had been severed.

“Even the powerful Blackskin officer was injured, it must be very dangerous up there… I wonder how the Great Lion is doing.”

Thinking of her friend did not affect Lolo's appetite; in the simple logic of a little ant, there were not too many complex thoughts—she just thought about it, and she couldn’t really go up to check on the Great Lion.

It was as if Lolo had never considered why the commander instructed them to keep digging down…

“Time to eat, time to eat…”

The strongest, Blackhead, crawled straight toward a demonic creature's corpse. Seeing this, Lolo immediately directed her kin to enjoy the food together.

In an instant, the sound of munching filled the air.

The massive ant swarm continued to fall from above, as if it were raining food, each one stuffing themselves until they were round and full.

Of course, ants are not like some creatures that eat and sleep in a cycle. Their simple thought process gives them an instinctive obedience to commands.

After feasting, it was time for busy work.

The enormous ant swarm, under Lolo’s command, started moving quickly, like clouds of black shadows tirelessly transporting debris and sand, continually expanding the burrow's space.

The burrow grew larger and deeper, the excavated soil transported upward to be used as building materials for the walls—of course, this little bit of dirt was practically inconsequential, Wen Yu made them work just to keep them from thinking too much. Who knew that the orders, layer upon layer, turned into a kind of mechanical labor resembling oppression?
