The black light twisted and turned as Wen Yu dodged the wildly swinging branches of the Cataclysmic Ancient Tree. In the blink of an eye, he had charged up to the tree's crown!
Although the tree possessed strong defensive and recovery abilities, its point-to-point attack power was something Wen Yu couldn't bear to look at—it didn’t even make any effective attempts to intercept him!
Standing atop the tree's crown, Wen Yu was surrounded by the branches that were flailing around wildly. When the branches struck him, they were immediately blocked by the black light enveloping him, causing no harm whatsoever.

The branches that had just been shredded by the dark power sprouted new shoots, quickly growing, and in no time, Wen Yu was once again wrapped up by the dense branches.
“It’s a war of attrition… this won’t work…”
The destruction and rebirth counterbalanced each other, and Wen Yu sadly realized that if he allowed the Cataclysmic Ancient Tree to continue feeding, he might never be able to kill this guy.
Thus, it was time to change tactics!
Wen Yu felt a shift in his heart, and the light barrier formed by the dark power suddenly expanded, an endless stream of black mist erupting from within him, instantly enveloping the entire body of the Cataclysmic Ancient Tree!
The long-unused dark world presented itself to the eyes of the world once again!
