In the distant mountain forest, a series of gasps and roars suddenly erupted.
After a while, the one-eyed creature, now in battle form, returned leisurely with the battered and gruesome Wan Ping clamped in its mouth, while stars and Victor perched on its head.
Behind the one-eyed creature, a beam of white light slowly descended from the sky, dazzling and brilliant, gradually transforming into Caius's figure.
"Wen Yu."
"Long time no see."
Wen Yu calmly greeted Caius.
“Let's talk now.”
Since this troublesome matter had found its way to him, and with Wan Ping, his "enemy," involved, Wen Yu simply decided to resolve the issue right here on Ch Town's land—consider it a way to settle a lingering concern.
The one-eyed creature brought Wan Ping to Wen Yu's side, and Wen Yu looked at the dazed and bewildered Wan Ping, unable to suppress a slight smile.
Surely, Wan Ping must have been astonished by his sudden appearance.
Thinking of this, Wen Yu said nothing further, dark energy in his hand coalescing into a line that directly wrapped around Wan Ping's neck.
“Crack.”
A faint sound emerged as Wan Ping’s head was severed.
Then, Wen Yu ignored Wan Ping’s decapitated body and walked over to pick up the Spatial Ring from Wan Ping’s finger.
Wan Ping had several escape tactics, but without the items in the Spatial Ring, where could he run?
After completing these tasks, Wen Yu then directed the one-eyed creature to hold down Wan Ping’s corpse, preventing any sudden resurrection, and turned to look at Caius.
......
The entire scene fell into silence.
When Ye Nan arrived, leading the way to Wen Yu, the situation shifted once again.
In this world, the one with the strongest fist is the big boss—just a moment ago, Caius had the strongest fist, so he could chase after whoever he wanted to kill.
Now, however, Wen Yu had become the deciding factor in everything that was about to unfold here.
Not only was Ye Nan anxious, but even Caius himself felt a myriad of emotions—if Arcade really managed to befriend Wen Yu, then this time, Caius would probably return empty-handed.
"How did you leave Beijing?"
Wen Yu observed Wan Ping’s condition while making small talk with Caius.
Ye Nan and Wan Ping were in M City, which was understandable since it was their hometown.
But Caius's appearance here left Wen Yu a bit confused.
Hearing Wen Yu's question, Caius paused slightly, then raised his hand to point at Arcade and the corpse of Wan Ping on the ground.
"I'm here to kill him, and him."
"Oh?"
Wen Yu raised an eyebrow.
"Why? No other reason, just being nosy."
"Despicable and evil, he deserves to be executed..."
A perfect excuse; this reason left Wen Yu momentarily speechless.
After a while, Wen Yu sighed and said to Caius, “You really have it hard...”
Punishing evil and promoting good, in Wen Yu's view, was an utterly thankless task.
With that, Wen Yu stopped questioning Caius and stepped in front of Wan Ping’s corpse, seriously assessing Wan Ping's condition.
This guy had resurrection-type skills, and Wen Yu was well aware of it. The last time he was caught off guard by a resurrection-type skill, this time, Wen Yu was determined not to make the same mistake.
In simple terms, it meant guarding the corpse—coincidentally, Wen Yu had ample time now, so spending a few days guarding Wan Ping’s body was no big deal!
Seeing Wen Yu’s actions, Caius spoke up.
"Wan Ping’s skills are on record with the military. Three souls immortal body (s-rank, passive ability): When the host dies, one of the three souls will be consumed, allowing resurrection within one day! The resurrection time can be controlled by the host, but caution is advised; consuming a random soul may lead to the consumption of the main soul. If the main soul is chosen, the host will be replaced by a soul consumed, becoming a mindless killing monster!"
"He can control the resurrection time freely, but not exceeding one day. Now he has two souls left within him, and as long as you wait for two days, Wan Ping will surely die."
