Simba walked out of the park where he had spent his entire life and discovered that the outside world was unexpectedly beautiful.
Not because of the scenery, but simply because there was an abundance of food outside. Watching humanoid creatures constantly pounce on him, only to be chewed up and eaten, sent him into ecstasy. Simba felt that leaving the park was the best decision he had ever made in his life.
Should he set up a home outside? Simba pondered.
His massive head shook, knocking down the few remaining zombies nearby. He disregarded these weak creatures entirely.
Maybe he should go home; it was more comfortable to sleep on his "bed" at home.
Having had his fill, Simba turned around, opened his massive mouth, and unleashed a torrent of flame flow to clear away the stumbling zombies behind him. Seeing that there was nothing left to eat in the surroundings, Simba let out a satisfied yawn. "A lion should be an animal that eats and sleeps, especially a male lion," he thought confidently.
Then, he slowly made his way back to the park.
...
Inside the park, Wen Yu and the one-eyed creature tacitly stopped their fight. Since neither side could achieve the desired result, ending the battle was the best choice.
Seeing the one-eyed creature's red eyes revealing a cruel killing intent, Wen Yu glared back fiercely. "You dead dog, I'll let you go this time. If you dare come looking for death again, I'll take your dog life," he threatened.
Although the one-eyed creature didn’t understand what Wen Yu meant, it was still able to discern the tone of good and bad in his words. It let out a low growl and slowly retreated toward the park's entrance.
Wen Yu watched as the one-eyed creature moved further away, and he slowly began to make his way toward the back of the park.
Once both sides could no longer see each other, Wen Yu angrily swung his steel knife. He couldn’t kill this dead dog today, which would surely lead to trouble in the future. It was easy to foresee that the one-eyed creature would continue to cause him problems, and if anything unexpected happened, this beast would definitely kill him.
Exhaling a breath of foul air, Wen Yu chose to ignore the troublesome one-eyed creature, preparing to pass through the promotion trial as quickly as possible. Only by becoming stronger could he fear no challenges.
...
Simba staggered back to his home. Before he could even step in the door, he caught a whiff of an unfamiliar scent. Lowering his massive head, Simba sniffed vigorously, the immense suction causing the filthy blood on the ground to ripple. He focused intently on the scent at his doorstep. "Hmm, there’s a very strong creature, much like the big bear I’ve eaten before."
His keen sense of smell allowed Simba to recognize the one-eyed creature's scent.
On one hand, he was furious; he hadn't expected another creature to dare invade his territory.
On the other hand, he was excited. After all, he had come out looking for food, and he had yet to see something so delicious.
Simba shook his head vigorously, now feeling a renewed desire to eat upon detecting the scent of an unknown creature.
...
The one-eyed creature's plan for revenge today had fallen through, and it couldn’t help but feel frustrated. It gnawed on the leftover scraps that Simba had abandoned, a foul, rotting odor filling its taste buds and making it want to gag.
"That human must taste exquisite," it fantasized about dismembering Wen Yu while chewing on the zombie's arm. The one-eyed creature resolved to follow that human closely, and when the opportunity arose, it would certainly crush the human's throat.
As the one-eyed creature imagined the human's painful death in its mouth, it slowly made its way back to where it had come from, occasionally glancing back over its shoulder, fearing that the human would change its mind and come back for another fight.
Although its newly awakened ability allowed its wounds to heal rapidly, the one-eyed creature absolutely did not want to endure the pain brought by soul strikes.
