Wen Yu shook his head.
Talking about these things with Klaus was like talking to a wall, completely pointless.
Wolves are inherently intelligent animals, and a mutated wolf at tier 3 peak has intelligence that is not much different from that of a human. When this mutated wolf first stepped out of the iron cage, Wen Yu immediately saw the wolf's eyes.
Amidst the scarlet, there was a terrifying killing intent. Even with Wen Yu's tier 5 peak strength, he was momentarily taken aback by that gaze.
From that gaze, Wen Yu saw many things... humiliation, pain, and a brutality that came from knowing one was destined to die!
He had seen such a gaze before, the look in the eye of the one-eyed wolf after being toyed with by Simba, as it launched a desperate counterattack!
One side was toying with the other in what seemed like a predetermined game, while the other was fighting with a sense of hopelessness!
And the result was not beyond Wen Yu's expectations.
...
The mutated wolf lay on the ground, covered in wounds, its mouth and nose spraying blood continuously.
At that moment, as the Overlord raised his hands to accept the audience's cheers...
The killing intent in the mutated wolf's eyes reached its peak!
In the next second...
The lower half of the mutated wolf suddenly exploded in a spray of blood mist, and with tremendous force, its massive head bit down on the Overlord's skull!
The sound of bones cracking echoed, blood splattered everywhere, and in less than a second, the Overlord's shiny black head was bitten off, blood spraying in all directions, while the mutated wolf, after making its final strike, collapsed to the ground, taking its last breath.
Mutual destruction...
Wen Yu gently swirled his wine glass and smiled at Klaus, “See? What did I tell you?”
Klaus stared wide-eyed at the scene below, his mouth agape. After a while, he clapped his hands vigorously and laughed maniacally, “This is fantastic! Absolutely fcking fantastic! Mutual destruction, the house wins! Perfect! We’ve hit the jackpot!”
Watching the jubilant Klaus, Wen Yu let out a helpless sigh.
“Damn capitalism…”
...
With a beaming face, Klaus took his leave from Wen Yu, probably heading downstairs to count the money. Before he left, he handed Wen Yu a card, claiming that this card could be used for any expenses at the Red Stone Grand Hotel, with all charges billed to Klaus.
Wen Yu gladly accepted it.
Sipping on his red wine, Wen Yu watched the ongoing matches below, stifling a yawn in boredom.
After the battle between the Overlord and the mutated wolf, the following matches were mere skirmishes, the strongest being two initial level three practitioners, engaged in a regular match—one that could not result in fatalities.
Although the scene seemed intense to outsiders—flashes of blades and bursts of blood—the two fighters on stage were clearly just going through the motions. To them, this was probably just a job.
After several dull matches, Wen Yu felt like he was wasting his life. Bored, he stood up and walked outside.
The arena battles were still ongoing as the host continued announcing the next match: “Next, let’s give a warm welcome to our Ultimate Fighter, the one-hundred battles one-hundred defeats! But never gives up—Karu, and his opponent, the month’s most dazzling newcomer—Andy!”
The enthusiastic applause, mixed with a few scattered boos, made Wen Yu glance over.
Unfortunately, they were just two ordinary tier three practitioners, not worth his attention.
Waving the card in his hand, Wen Yu spoke to one of the female attendants in broken English, “Take me to your best room. Also, prepare dinner in the room.”
The attendant smiled suggestively at Wen Yu, “Lord Klaus has already prepared it for you. Does my lord need any other services?”
Wen Yu looked the attendant up and down and decisively shook his head, “No, thank you.”

Outside, the sky was slowly darkening.
The nightlife of Las Vegas felt almost ghostly, but amid the stillness, the Red Stone Grand Hotel shone like a beacon, becoming the brightest star in all of Las Vegas.
