Guan Tao and the other three looked at Wen Yu with complicated expressions, until Wen Yu turned his gaze toward them.
"Um, little brother—no, big brother, you really are unbelievably strong," Guan Tao forced out a smile and flattered Wen Yu loudly.
To say that Guan Tao didn’t feel any envy or jealousy deep down was simply unrealistic.
"Yeah, I know I’m strong. By the way, did you guys enjoy watching the show? Want to leave a review?" Wen Yu noticed these people were still around, meaning they had something to say to him.
"No need for that. We just wanted to admire your style up close, big brother. Your battle just now was mesmerizing—we’re utterly in awe. Our admiration flows like an endless river…" Lin Li was clearly better at sucking up than Guan Tao.
"Enough. If you’ve got something to say, just say it. Don’t waste everyone’s time." Wen Yu finished gathering his loot and, hearing Lin Li’s endless praise, couldn’t help but grow a little impatient.
"Heh, big brother is truly a master," Lin Li said with a stiff expression, then quickly put on a sycophantic smile again.
"We want to ask, brother, do you need teammates or anything? Although we’re not as strong as you, we can handle small tasks like serving tea, cleaning up the little trash monsters you disdain to deal with. We can definitely help," Wan Ping said seriously to Wen Yu.
"Not for now. To be honest, it’s not that I look down on you, but the gap between our strengths is just too big. If you follow me, you wouldn’t be able to contribute at all. I won’t keep teammates who can’t keep up with my development," Wen Yu straightforwardly cut off Guan Tao and the others’ hopes.
The four of them instantly stiffened, losing face a bit.
"How arrogant! Refusing helpers who come knocking. If you ask me, this guy’s just been lucky. We won’t necessarily be worse than him in the future," Wan An whispered angrily to his teammates after hearing Wen Yu’s ruthless rejection.
Wan Ping shot Wan An a sharp glare. Wen Yu was watching Wan An with a half-smile, clearly having heard Wan An’s muttering.
"My brother doesn’t know better, sorry about that. Since you don’t want us, we’ll take our leave," Wan Ping said, fearing that the strong man might lash out at them at any moment. Under Wen Yu’s immense pressure, Wan Ping even forgot the treasure land’s rule against attacking survivors.
"Oh? Just in time—I’m done here too. Let’s go out together," Wen Yu said, following after the group as they headed out.
Seeing their stiff expressions, Wen Yu couldn’t help but chuckle, "Relax, I’m not here to do anything to you. None of you are impressive enough to interest me. We’ll just leave the treasure land together and then go our separate ways. Don’t be too nervous—I’m not a bloodthirsty killer."
The four breathed a collective sigh of relief, nodded at Wen Yu, then went ahead and exited the treasure land. Wen Yu watched them step out first, then loudly shouted into the empty treasure land, "Brother Da, I’m leaving. See you when there’s a chance."
"Hmph," Arcada emitted an angry sound.
Seeing Arcada clearly unwilling to see him off further, Wen Yu shrugged and stepped out of the treasure land.
...
Outside the treasure land, One-Eye had been lying at the entrance for an hour.
As time passed, One-Eye gradually lost patience, pacing in circles around the entrance. This place pressured him too much. If that terrifying presence returned and trapped him inside the park, not even ten lives would be enough to survive.
Just as the silver vortex showed no sign of change and One-Eye was considering withdrawing, the spinning silver vortex slowly stopped. The soft silver-white glow weakened as the huge vortex shrank.
One-Eye immediately turned his head back—he had seen this scene before.
When the vortex shrank to just the size of a pinky, it suddenly exploded, releasing a dazzling silver light. Fortunately, One-Eye was prepared and had already avoided the glare. Turning sharply, he looked at the several figures suddenly appearing in the vortex’s place and lunged quickly at one of them.
