As the sharp short sword approached rapidly, the demonic entity felt a surge of panic!

The assassination came too suddenly.

In a flash, it activated its fifth skill!

Damage Transfer (A-rank, Active Ability): Consumes a large amount of stamina to transfer the damage it receives to a designated target!

This designated target was the Baru demon beast beneath it!

However, this skill had little effect!

Because the Baru demon beast had a powerful combat instinct!

Its thick, slippery tongue quickly wrapped around the flying assassin, and with a “whoosh,” the assassin was swallowed whole by the two-legged lizard.

The “gurgling” cries of pain reached the ears of the demonic entity, which looked down in panic at its mount—the only other combat unit beside it—that had collapsed to the ground, fear increasingly etched in its eyes!

The target for damage transfer was killed... its ability to transfer damage was temporarily invalidated... it could now be harmed...

All these thoughts made the demonic entity grow more and more fearful!

This fear even clouded its mind, severing its thoughts of releasing skills!

Then, the demonic entity could no longer unleash its skills!

A shadow appeared suddenly from behind, wrapping around the demonic entity in an instant!

Shadow Sealing (S-rank, Active Ability): Consumes half of its stamina to seal all S-rank and below skills of the opponent for 5 minutes!

Then, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows...

The glimmering short sword darted toward the demonic entity!

And this time, there was no two-legged lizard to rescue it.

Fortunately, the recent Shadow Sealing had reminded the demonic entity; this new figure’s attack was not an assassination, but a full-on assault, so the demonic entity was somewhat mentally prepared.

Sadly, mental preparation was one thing, but having the capability to cope was another!

As the demonic entity watched the approaching short sword, its hands waved frantically, and it mumbled something incomprehensible!

A level five demonic entity! Facing a level four human assassin, it acted like a small girl about to be shot by a tough man...

Fortunately, there was still a demonic creature beside it!

The black-skinned demon creature had been behaving like a coward since the demonic entity appeared. The demonic entity had intended to bring the black-skinned demon creature along to better understand human affairs and intelligence, though the black-skinned demon creature didn’t know much...

The black-skinned demon creature, usually safe when following the demonic entity, had to step up at this moment!

Seeing the demonic entity's panicked state facing the assassination, the black-skinned demon creature understood that if it did nothing, both it and the demonic entity would surely meet a gruesome fate!

The black-skinned demon creature had decent physical qualities, at least better than a level four shadow sting, but its innate weakness meant it had no advantage against the assassin!
