Doomsday Summoning Frenzy

Chapter 22: Simba šŸ¦

The moonlight gradually thickened. Just as Wen Yu closed his eyes to rest, inside Riverside Park, the once beautiful scenery was nowhere to be found. All that remained were the scattered remnants of limbs and dark brown stains of bloodā€”both human and animalā€”scattered throughout every corner of the park.

In this hellish scene, the park was eerily quiet; there were no moans from zombies, nor any roars from mutated beasts, making it feel as if one was in a dead zone.

Amidst the countless bloodstains and dismembered limbs, a black shadow slowly rose to its feet. Under the dim moonlight, the 3-meter tall figure resembled a small mountain.

As the moonlight gradually illuminated this shadow, its terrifying form revealed itself.

It was a lion.

As the only male lion inside Riverside Park, Simba had previously lost all his wild instincts due to domestication by humans. He lived a life of eating, sleeping, and reproducing every day.

Simba had never felt that anything was wrong.

Simba, the name given to him by his caretaker.

In fact, Simba thought this life was truly wonderful. He had lived this way since he was young, and in Simba's mind, this was the entirety of a lion's daily existence.

However, when the apocalypse struck, everything changed.

A massive intent to kill and overwhelming hunger surged within him, quickly filling his heart and drowning his reason.

The first objects of his outburst were the female members of his own kind nearby. The difference in strength left them with no chance to resist. In less than five minutes, all his partners had fallen at his feet, becoming his food.

Feeling his body growing larger and his strength surging, Simba suddenly understood a truth.

I should have the power of life and death over the surrounding beings. I should stand at the very top of the food chain. I should act without hesitation.

Smoke continuously billowed from his mouth; Simba felt as if a fire ignited in his throat, causing him unbearable pain. Then he opened his mouth and actually spewed out a torrent of flames.

Flame Flow (Tier A): The power of flames erupts, dealing devastating damage to enemies.

Simba naturally didnā€™t quite understand why he could breathe fire, but that didnā€™t hinder the fact that he could use flames to eliminate his enemies.

In fact, there were no enemiesā€”Riverside Park was entirely his hunting ground.

Including the bear in the east. Hmm, this fellow was a bit harder to kill; it seemed a bit larger than last time and could unleash a sharp gust of air. But that didnā€™t matterā€”one breath of fire turned this stupid bearā€™s head to ash. Although it was a pity to lose the meat on its head, that was fine; there was plenty of food left in the park.

Hmm, that crocodile in the water also posed a challenge. But it didnā€™t matter; his teeth seemed sharper than before, his claws even sharper, and his skin harder. However, crocodile meat was still quite tender.

Hmm, this crocodile felt warm to eat, and after finishing, Simba felt his body grow significantly larger, and his skin became even tougher. When he gripped with his claws, it felt like when he used to grip that hard, long object that trapped him.

Steel Armor (Tier B): The power of steel protects you, greatly enhancing your bodyā€™s defensive capabilities.

Although growing larger was good, he felt hungrier. The burning sensation in his stomach slowly made Simba lose his sanity.

Thus, Simba's hunting commenced.

For all living beings within Riverside Park, Simba, a tier 2 mutated beast, was a complete nightmare.

Therefore, no living creature managed to escape this small parkā€”whether human, mutated being, or zombie.

Similarly, many zombies surged into the park, providing Simba with even more food.

Gradually, the zombies surrounding the park sensed the terrifying presence within; their primal instincts told them not to enter but also kept them from straying far from this imminent volcanic eruption.

Until today, until now.

Simba felt hungry. Over the course of three days, he had killed every living thing in the park and had thoroughly feasted.
