Wen Yu was not good at expressing his emotions. After a big hug, he returned to his usual indifferent state. This was the aftermath of a long period of loneliness, but he thought that once he returned home, the symptoms would gradually lessen.
Regarding psychological adjustment, neither Tang Haofei nor Bai could help Wen Yu; the three simply walked out of the Temple of the Void Realm and entered the void realm. Bai began searching for the coordinates of the teleportation point, while Wen Yu and Tang Haofei followed closely behind.
It was not until they were in a void that Bai stopped.
"This is the spot," Bai said, then made a hand seal. After a moment, the surroundings lit up, and a large teleportation array suddenly appeared beside the three. Accompanied by the array's dazzling light, a moment later, a spatial fluctuation followed. When Wen Yu awoke from his daze, the three had already arrived at Demon Palace Layer 998.
The once-secure bureau was naturally no longer in existence, and the familiar faces had also disappeared without a trace.
As they walked through the corridors of the Demon Palace Security Bureau, Wen Yu asked Tang Haofei about Feili and Regas's whereabouts. Tang Haofei simply stated dryly, "They were taken away by the spirit of the demon lord," as if announcing the fate of Feili and Regas.
Wen Yu could only sigh lightly, showing no visible emotion. After exiting the security bureau, Bai took out the Rift Device. After locating the coordinates, the three returned to the Layered Battlefield.
...
The sky was a familiar blue, the warm sunlight shone down, and the gentle breeze fluttered the wheat fields in the distance. Everything stirred emotions within Wen Yu. He had thought he had no feelings for this place, but five thousand years of solitude made him realize that he was likely not as strong as he had imagined...
"What’s going on here?" After a long pause, Wen Yu finally asked, while Tang Haofei scratched his head and smiled.
"Everything is good, much better than I imagined..."
"And what about Fran..."
"Alright, you don’t need to say so much to me."
As soon as Tang Haofei mentioned Fran, Wen Yu suddenly waved his hand to interrupt him. Fran held a certain weight in Wen Yu's heart; if Fran were in trouble, he would help, but now that he had just returned to Earth, Wen Yu clearly did not want to focus his energy on Fran.
He turned to Bai and Tang Haofei, then cupped his hands lightly.
"Thank you both for what happened earlier. I have other matters to attend to, so we’ll part ways here."
As soon as he said this, Wen Yu transformed into black light and shot off into the distance.
Old Tang and Bai watched Wen Yu leave, and after a moment, Tang Haofei muttered, "Is it really necessary to be in such a hurry? I wanted to have a meal with him."
Bai, however, looked at the direction Wen Yu had left with a smile in his eyes, remaining silent.
...
Wen Yu did not hurry to call for his spirit pets.
He simply focused on flying in the direction indicated by the spiritual fluctuations.
After passing through the portal, he arrived at a continental plate in Area Six. Just as Wen Yu stood at the edge of the portal, two figures flew in from the distance and jumped into his arms.
"Big Boss! Where have you been... Big Boss, we’ve been searching for you so hard..."
In his mini-state, Xing clung to Wen Yu's shoulder, his big head resting on Wen Yu's chin, crying with snot and tears. In that moment, Wen Yu felt as if a heavy rain was pouring down from his collar, making his entire body feel cooler.
Looking at Xing, who was crying like a child, and then at Victor, who had tears in his eyes but generally maintained his calm, Wen Yu sighed softly and wrapped his arms around Victor. After a moment, Wen Yu lowered his voice to murmur.
"I’m back..."
"Wah wah wah..."
Xing's cries grew louder, and no matter how Wen Yu tried to comfort him, there was no sign of him stopping...
Although Wen Yu felt a bit touched... he thought, did you know how good you were at crying before...?
