The process of capturing Ou went extremely smoothly.
No Winter fired three shots in quick succession. The first shot killed the armored rock dragon and incapacitated Ou's lower body.
The second and third shots took out Ou's two spirit pets in a row.
With the continuous deaths of the three-headed spirit pets, the soul connection between the soul master and the spirit pets brought great misfortune to Ou.
A violent soul shockwave emanated from the soul realm space, and the collapse of the three soul realms caused blood to flow from Ou's mouth and nose, his eyes turning white, seemingly on the verge of becoming an idiot from the terrifying soul injury.
When the vice-captain and the remaining team members approached Ou, he was already like a salted fish ready for slaughter, rolling and wailing, utterly incapable of mounting a counterattack.
The vice-captain looked at Ou before glancing at the spirit pets lying dead around them, giving a slight smile at the corners of his mouth, his eyes flashing with complexity.
...
When the vice-captain brought Ou to Wen Yu, Wen Yu was busy organizing his firearms.
The simplified version of No Winter that was not a soul armament had a somewhat complicated assembly and disassembly process, and after each battle, it required meticulous maintenance—however, these minor inconveniences were overshadowed by No Winter's terrifying lethality.
Recalling his designed complete version of No Winter, Wen Yu couldn't help but smile.
"This weapon experiment seems to have gone quite well."
It wasn't until the nine team members stood before Wen Yu, their eyes filled with panic as they glanced at the terrifying heavy artillery that had already been disassembled into parts that Wen Yu waved his hand, calling for the team to assemble.
The terror of No Winter undoubtedly intimidated the imperial guards, and for Wen Yu, this was an unexpected delight.
...
The vehicle sped through the rainy night, the remaining nine members of the imperial guard sat silently on the bench, squinting their eyes in a feigned nap, while Wen Yu stood beside the captive, observing the little soul beast on Ou's shoulder, gradually sensing its abilities.
After a moment, he gained a clear understanding of Ou.
There was nothing extraordinary about him.
Ou was just a normal soul master.
Wen Yu couldn't understand why Yu had arrested Ou, but if his guess was correct, it should have something to do with the mutation evolution of the little soul beast.
So he continued to watch Ou until the vehicle successfully entered Yu's Manor.
...
Yu placed great importance on this arrest operation.
When the vehicle entered the manor, the imperial guard filed out, and what they saw were the two stunning beauties, Yu and Yan.
It wasn't until Wen Yu carried Ou and placed him before Yu that she gave a gentle nod, a faint smile appearing at the corners of her mouth.
"Very good."
Yu said this.
For the first mission of the imperial guard, Yu had to step in to supervise—this time was different from the last; Wen Yu had demonstrated his value in forging. Even if Wen Yu's combat ability was not strong, Yu would ensure his safety at the crucial moment, not allowing him to meet a tragic end as he did last time.
It was obvious that No Winter's debut was quite successful. Although there were suspicions of leveraging the weapon's advantages, the combination of Wen Yu and No Winter represented a noteworthy fighting strength.
Wen Yu simply nodded lightly at Yu, then spoke.
"I don’t know if my Lord has any further instructions?"
"None for now, let the brothers rest for a while."
Yu said this and then took Ou towards the inner courtyard.
...
Wen Yu waved his hand, and the vice-captain obediently led the brothers back to the dormitory, while Yan took the opportunity to come to Wen Yu's side.
The two walked to a secluded area, where Yan pulled out blueprints and asked Wen Yu a multitude of questions she couldn't understand, while Wen Yu selectively answered some of the less significant ones.
