The progress of the work was rapid.
Three days later, during morning exercises, Yan found Wen Yu and gestured for him to follow.
The two walked side by side to Yan's workshop. As Yan opened the large door, a graceful figure came into Wen Yu's view.
"Milady."
"Milady."
Wen Yu and Yan immediately bowed their heads. Yu, however, was intently observing the Shocking and Wild Song weapons made by Yan. After a moment, she finally looked up, glanced at Wen Yu, and smiled as she spoke.
"I heard from Yan that you’ve created some interesting things, so I thought I’d come take a look. By the way, have you studied weapon forging before?"
"I’ve learned a bit, but I wouldn’t say I’m proficient."
Upon hearing Wen Yu's modesty, Yan couldn't help but curl his lips.
The complex runes on the two blueprints Wen Yu provided were still unclear to him. If Wen Yu’s understanding of weapon forging was shallow, then what did that make him, the blacksmith?
Yu also noticed Wen Yu’s concealed talent. She simply smiled and tossed a simplified version of the Shocking and Wild Song to Wen Yu.
Wen Yu lowered his head to inspect his weapons.
The two guns were exquisitely shaped, indistinguishable from the true Shocking and Wild Song, but unfortunately, these two items had no additional attributes—in other words, they had not been integrated into the professional system, merely mechanical creations.
Wen Yu carefully put away the twin guns and looked at Yu.
He believed that Yu hadn’t come just to see his weapons.
After a moment, Yu finally spoke.
"I would like to ask you to help me design some weapons."
Wen Yu fell silent but nodded.
"Milady, feel free to specify your requirements, and I will do my best."
After that, a light pink, elegantly designed miniature pistol appeared before Wen Yu's eyes.
Yu said, "This is my soul armament. At this point, the attributes of this gun can no longer keep up with my rate of strength growth. I would like you to help me design a stronger weapon based on its functionality."
"But I can't make soul armaments."
Wen Yu succinctly expressed his difficulty—actually, he could create soul armaments, but "Yu" in the "dream" truly could not.
"I can!"
Yan chimed in cheerfully.
Upon hearing this, Wen Yu nodded, but he did not take the pink pistol that Yu offered. He simply straightened his back, displaying his professionalism, and spoke to Yu.
"Since this gun has already been discarded by you, it means its attributes are no longer suitable for you. I need to understand your skill system and energy category to proceed with the design."
Yu pondered briefly before uttering a few words.
"Soul system, my skill system is soul system."
Yu did not elaborate any further—after all, no one could divulge the specific information of their skills in detail.
However, Wen Yu did not feel troubled; he lowered his head to think for a moment before smiling and speaking again.
"What is your preferred attack distance? Super long-range, long-range, medium-close range, or melee?"
"All are proficient."
"Got it."
Wen Yu said, then added, "Give me a little time."
Yu nodded in agreement.
...
Wen Yu did not participate in the imperial guard’s training sessions. After returning from Yan's studio, he went back to his room.
At this moment, Wen Yu lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to suppress his astonishment.
The moment Wen Yu pulled out the blueprints for Shocking and Wild Song, he was gambling!
He was betting that Yu had not obtained Shocking and Wild Song, that Yan had never seen Shocking and Wild Song, and he was even betting on the nature of this space!
Indeed, this space was not just a simple dream!
This was not a dream; this was fate… the fate of fate!
Chewing on the words "fate beast," Wen Yu's eyes gradually brightened—just a simple test, and he not only guessed the purpose for which Bai had sent him here but also the purpose of the fate beast. In an instant, Wen Yu even thought of the benefits he could reap from this place.
