“I’m in... I’m in the Demon Realm...”
Tang Haofei’s tone grew increasingly uncertain as he began to feel the trouble of the situation.
Thus, Old Tang didn’t wait for Fran to react and quickly spoke up. “Can you find Wen Yu right now? I need him to activate the Rift Device to bring me back. I’m having some issues here as well.”
Upon hearing this, Fran immediately smiled bitterly. “I’m afraid that’s not possible…”
After saying that, Fran raised his head and looked at the surveillance footage captured by the Heavenly Eye System.
Inside, there were only thirteen remaining Demon Realm Flowers, and one black light barrier after another appeared out of thin air, blocking everything from the outside.
This was a small trick used by Wen Yu—he was afraid that some people might recklessly barge in, either intentionally or unintentionally ruining this remote duel and causing some uncontrollable emergencies.
After all, who could guarantee that the spirit of the demon lord didn’t have hidden agents on Earth? Don’t forget, the former guardian no. 2 was a clone of the spirit of the demon lord!
In other words, the current Wen Yu had communication channels with the outside but couldn’t be reached from the outside.
Moreover, the Rift Device was inside Wen Yu One’s Spatial Ring.
If Tang Haofei wanted Wen Yu to activate the Rift Device, he would have to wait for Wen Yu to actively send a message to the outside and initiate communication. However, in Fran’s eyes, this time frame was absolutely uncontrollable.
In other words, Fran believed that the current Wen Yu wouldn’t be able to receive this message.
But in reality, through the perspective of Wen Yu One, he could already see the predicament Tang Haofei was facing. However, at this moment, even though Wen Yu One wanted to rescue Tang Haofei, he was still powerless.
Both hands were completely entangled in vines, and his body was stiff and immobile under the assault of foreign energy. Not to mention opening the Spatial Ring; even breathing required Wen Yu to exert all his strength!
“So, are you feeling better now?”
With the teasing words echoing in his mind, Wen Yu One fell silent.
He just stood rigidly in place, and after a while, he let out a soft sigh before silently severing the shared sight with Wen Yu.
…
“When a bitch wants to maintain her facade, I don’t know who made that decision!”
Sensing that Wen Yu One had cut off the shared vision, Wen Yu scoffed coldly, with a hint of disdain on his face.
The long-term division had already led to these eight clones developing different value systems—Wen Yu truly looked down on Wen Yu One in this matter.
In terms of overall perspective and political ability, the current Wen Yu One was far superior to the other clones. However, as the saying goes, there are gains and losses; the current Wen Yu One lacked some of the ruthless survival instincts that Wen Yu once relied on.
But as the saying goes, a child doesn’t despise a mother for being ugly, and a dog doesn’t despise a family for being poor; can you really throw away something just because it stinks? Wen Yu just briefly complained before focusing his attention on Tang Haofei.
At that moment, Old Tang was still holding up the communication device, but his face was growing increasingly pale.
The message Fran conveyed could be summarized into one point—big brother, come back; if you don’t come back, this battle will be very difficult to win. What? You need Wen Yu to bring you back? You can’t return by yourself? Then don’t come back…
It wasn’t until the communicator was actively hung up by Tang Haofei that he stared blankly at the outside world.
Outside, over a dozen demonic creatures (and a few more had arrived) were flying around him recklessly. Energy attacks, physical attacks, and mental attacks were continuously raining down, crashing into his thunder barrier, creating booming sounds.
As the attacks continued, Tang Haofei could see the thunder barrier protecting him gradually dimming and shattering; the power within him was being continually drained. It wouldn’t be long before he would undoubtedly be exhausted and then slaughtered.
