Gul is not ordinary...
Although the Ancient Demon Clan develops faster than humans, being able to reach level three at less than one year old is a testament to how good his "family background" is.
A good family background provides more knowledge and insights to early-maturing ancient demons.
However, this little one may fool others, but wanting to compete with Wen Yu in acting is truly encountering an ancestor...
Hearing Wen Yu's righteous and firm reply of "Absolutely not!", Gul's expression remained calm, but Wen Yu could see the corners of the little guy's eyes and brows raised in joy—his happiness was evident.
Wen Yu hadn't finished speaking.
"Gul, let me tell you, I actually don't mind. I am already eighty-three this year; I estimate this life of mine will be like this. But you're different—at such a young age, you possess such strength. You should be a dragon among men, but to be trapped in this small place is truly a pity..."
Wen Yu rambled on about a lot of things, mainly lamenting that Gul had become an orphan so early and was stuck here without a future—his image of caring for the younger generation was truly soaring.
Gul was also moved to tears by Wen Yu's speech. He watched Wen Yu making an emotional appeal and, after a moment, the little guy's eyes lit up as he gently grasped Wen Yu's large hand.
"Uncle, I understand what you mean…"
"Well, it’s good that you understand… but as it is now, I really have no way to help. Sigh."
Wen Yu's long sigh seemed to mark the end of the matter. Gul wanted to say something but ultimately remained silent. He just stood up, hugged Wen Yu briefly, and then turned to leave the tent.
After Gul left, Wen Yu's eyes suddenly brightened.
He realized there was a problem here.
...
Wen Yu initially thought that Gul had come to him because he wanted to leave this place and venture outside—this was not difficult, since Lei and Marquez hadn’t set up any internal defenses here.
It wouldn’t be a problem to leave, and it would save on food, which was Marquez's thinking...
The difficulty lay in the inherent dangers of the outside world—but this was not insurmountable. Wen Yu believed that since Gul had such a request, he must have his own hidden cards. The fact that he looked up to Wen Yu was primarily due to his adult status making things easier.
He needed a visible shield...
But in the end, until Gul left, he hadn’t mentioned this point—that was because Wen Yu had misunderstood.
Gul did not want Wen Yu to take him away; instead, he already had another organization and had a means to leave. For some reason, he hadn’t acted on it but was instead trying to establish a connection with Wen Yu in this concentration camp.
Moreover, under the circumstances where Wen Yu had expressed his “intentions,” Gul did not say much more and simply turned to leave.
This also meant that Gul had a "superior."
Regarding the arrangements for uncle number three, Gul needed to discuss it with his organization’s higher-ups...
But Wen Yu's identity was not an issue, and his daily performance showed no flaws. In fact, Wen Yu already had an answer in his heart regarding the outcome.
And when the moon was full, this answer would be personally delivered to Wen Yu by Gul.
...
"Uncle number three, are you asleep?"
Gul's voice sounded from outside the tent. It was deep and contained a certain mysterious power, directly entering Wen Yu's ears without disturbing anyone.
Upon hearing this voice, Wen Yu sprang up, pretending to have just woken up. He rubbed his eyes while gently pulling back the tent.
"Little Gul, what is this?"
"Uncle number three, come, follow me."
Gul said little else, just waved his hand at Wen Yu, signaling him to follow.
Wen Yu feigned a confused look, hesitated for a moment, but ultimately followed quietly behind Gul at his urgent beckoning.
Thus, the two of them stealthily avoided the guards and arrived at a corner of the underground warehouse.
"Gul, what is this?"
"Uncle number three, I'm taking you to see something good."
