Tang Haofei's house was not far from the commander-in-chief's office and Wen Yu's residence.
After Wen Yu left the commander-in-chief's office, Long Er drove, and in less than five minutes, they arrived at Tang Haofei's place.
This five-minute journey felt a bit wasted, but according to Fran, the commander-in-chief still needed to maintain a commanding presence.
Moreover, the area within Beijing was a no-fly zone. Although this restriction had little impact on Wen Yu, he still preferred to comply with the orders he issued himself.
When Wen Yu's special car stopped in front of the residence, the guard quickly opened the gate. Wen Yu, accompanied by Long Er, stepped out of the vehicle. As soon as they entered the courtyard, Li Quan'an and Vera came running over excitedly.
"My lord."
The two greeted him respectfully, then asked, "Tang Haofei is resting. Should I wake him up?"
Vera said this with a somewhat mischievous glint in her eyes, but Wen Yu just shook his head.
"No need. Just let him know I’m here when he wakes up. For now, let's take a look around."
Wen Yu's purpose in visiting Tang Haofei was not simply to see him.
He only wanted to distance himself from Lin Haifeng...
After transforming into a superintelligent brain, Lin Haifeng's computational abilities and intelligence analysis capabilities had further enhanced. In fact, to some extent, he could see through people's hearts and predict the future direction of events.
Just as he claimed, in Beijing, he was everywhere and knew everything...
Wen Yu originally had no secrets from Lin Haifeng; however, regarding matters related to Tang Haofei, the two had their first disagreement in over thirty years.
This disagreement was minor; perhaps Lin Haifeng considered it trivial, but only Wen Yu knew what he truly intended to do.
Li Quan'an and Vera exchanged glances, and in the end, it was Li Quan'an who guided Wen Yu as they wandered around Tang Haofei's house.
By the time they returned to the reception room, Tang Haofei had already appeared, looking a bit sleepy.
"I didn't intend to disturb you."
Wen Yu smiled apologetically, while Tang Haofei waved his hand, indicating it was no trouble, and let out a yawn.
"So, what brings you here this time?"
Tang Haofei looked puzzled, as if he was trying to gauge Wen Yu's purpose for visiting—just as Lin Haifeng had inferred, Tang Haofei was not completely oblivious to Wen Yu's actions, at least knowing seven or eight parts of it.
This room was surely filled with surveillance devices, and it was possible that even his escapades from the previous night had been secretly recorded and collected by Wen Yu. He truly did not understand why Wen Yu had come to visit him this morning.
After all, Tang Haofei sensed Wen Yu's wariness towards him. Although he did not know the specific reasons, the strong intuition brought by powerful strength could not be deceived.
Wen Yu merely smiled lightly and casually took a seat.
"I was bored, so I came to visit an old friend. Is that not allowed? Or are you not welcoming me?"
Upon hearing this, Tang Haofei was momentarily taken aback, then nodded with a smile.
"Of course you are welcome, but are you sure you really don't have anything important to discuss with me?"
At this, Wen Yu immediately pouted.
"If asking you out for meals, drinks, and shopping counts as important matters."
As Wen Yu said this, the atmosphere between them, which had been difficult to describe, suddenly changed.
Tang Haofei's smile gradually faded but became more sincere as he stared at Wen Yu. After a moment, he nodded.
"Then let's go out for a walk. By the way, if I bring my girlfriend along, you won't mind, right?"
"Not at all..."
Wen Yu replied.
As they walked out the door, the two of them were in a line yet did not speak.
The truth was, Wen Yu really didn't know what to say to Tang Haofei—should he tell him he had blocked his path?
It wasn't Tang Haofei's fault; if blame were to be assigned, it would have to be at the sovereign. However, the problem was that Wen Yu could not confront the mastermind behind the sovereign, which, to some extent, affected his perception of Tang Haofei.
