Thalass left, not to abandon the Ancient Archives, but to actually borrow some documents from the archives!

Wen Yu naturally had to accompany Thalass.

The two arrived at the archives, where Tore was still busy flipping through the materials. Upon seeing them, he merely nodded in greeting. Thalass didn’t pay much attention to these trivialities; he just nodded back at Tore and then looked at Wen Yu.

“By the way, Director Agu, do you have any information about the layout of the Demon Palace here?”

“Hmm, let me think… there should be some, but I forgot where I put it… Tore! Tore!”

“What’s wrong, Director?”

“Where did we put the documents on the layout of the Demon Palace?”

“I’m not sure either; you arranged these things, didn’t you?”

Wen Yu slapped his forehead, as if realizing something.

“Lord Thalass, please don’t laugh at me. Look at my memory; there should be some documents about the layout of the Demon Palace here, but I forgot where they are. How about… we go look for them?”

Wen Yu maintained his smile, but the previous exchange undoubtedly hit a sore spot! Because those documents were currently stored in Wen Yu’s Spatial Ring!

“Hmm, then I’ll trouble Director Agu to help me find them.”

Thalass said casually, while Wen Yu’s mind raced, ultimately leading the way deeper into the archives.

……

“These, these, and these…”

“Lord Thalass, do you think these items are what you need?”

Aside from the key documents Wen Yu had taken, there were also other materials regarding the Demon Palace in the archives. For example, plans for the “Demon Palace’s 944th Floor Sewage System Layout.” Wen Yu hastily pulled them all out and piled them in front of Thalass.

“I have more here.”

Wen Yu busily searched the bookshelves while quietly observing Thalass’s expression, hoping to find some subtle clues.

Thalass, however, showed no change in expression as he carefully studied the materials. After a while, he finally chuckled lightly.

“Thank you, Director Agu; this is enough.”

After saying that, Thalass gestured for Wen Yu to sit down and began to flip through the chaotic documents as if he were a diligent student.

The entire archive room fell silent, with only the sound of Thalass turning the pages remaining.

Accompanied by the rustling of pages, a hint of irritation began to arise in Wen Yu’s heart until Thalass finished a document at a very slow pace and then picked up the next one, asking once again.

“By the way, Director Agu, you’ve worked here for 528 years, so you must have gone through these materials, right?”

“Only a small portion,” Wen Yu respectfully replied.

“There’s a lot of information here; I only pick out some things that interest me to look at.”

Thalass nodded knowingly, and then, seemingly recalling something, he changed his posture and spoke in a relaxed tone.

“Does Director Agu know about the outside world?”

The outside world…

As soon as Thalass said this, memories of Agu surfaced in Wen Yu’s mind.

……

The Demon Palace, being an existence independent of the Demon Realm, essentially represents two separate worlds. Most of the demonic clan residing in the Demon Palace are unaware of the existence of the Demon Realm, just as many demonic creatures in the Demon Realm do not understand the world within the Demon Palace. However, in the eyes of certain individuals, this isn’t considered a significant secret; many of the documents in the archives describe the nature of the Demon Palace and its relationship with the Demon Realm.

Agu also knew.

So Wen Yu nodded, “Of course, I know that. Does Lord Thalass want to see any materials on this topic?”

Thalass merely shook his head, “That’s not necessary. Just a while ago, the Security Bureau arrested someone who had intruded from the outside world on the 52nd floor of the Demon Palace. I think his name was… ah, right, Feirnas…”

The name Feirnas made Wen Yu’s heart tighten — he was one of Ye Nan’s last remaining Avengers.
