Retrieving the Rift Device, Wen Yu stepped across the two realms passage, and the scenery before him instantly transformed.
The air was thick with overwhelming demonic energy, a putrid smell assaulted his nostrils, and at the same time, Wen Yu vaguely sensed that this world… seemed like a dying person, exuding a strong aura of decline.
A world on the brink of death.
Even though he had heard Bai describe the state of the Demon Realm as not very good, witnessing it with his own eyes, Wen Yu found that it was far worse than he had imagined—simply appalling!
This was not a world where living beings could survive—except for the professionals, even slightly weaker creatures had no right to be born here!
After sensing the hidden messages in the air, Wen Yu finally took the time to survey his surroundings.
It was a pitch-black hall, devoid of any light source. Although dim, Wen Yu quickly took in everything around him.
No traps, no malice, and also, no creatures.
Until the distant sound of footsteps echoed, followed by a breath that abruptly intruded upon Wen Yu’s perception.
“Physical quality over a hundred thousand, demonic entity, level 8…”
An elite among level 8s, a weak chicken in Wen Yu’s eyes.
“Lord!”
Unexpectedly, the demonic creature that had arrived here showed no malice towards Wen Yu; it merely bowed and clasped its hands, making a gesture to invite him in.
Wen Yu showed no signs of surprise.
Everything was pre-planned, stemming from Bai’s arrangement, so the nature of this place was clear…
This was the foundation that Ye Nan and Bai had established in the Demon Realm.
“Lead the way,” Wen Yu said expressionlessly.

The crisp sound of footsteps echoed through the corridor. As Wen Yu walked, he surveyed the surrounding environment.
He was underground but was now ascending. Judging from the overall layout, this should be a very large castle. The distant sounds of commotion and the breath of life reached his ears, and upon sensing these, Wen Yu couldn’t help but smile.
These two guys seemed to be doing quite well in the Demon Realm, establishing their base within the demonic clan's city, perhaps even occupying the largest castle. Then this identity…
Should be something like the city lord, right?
Well, considering Ye Nan’s professional characteristics, it was not impossible that Bai could achieve this.
As they continued to ascend, the commotion grew louder, various forms of demon realm language continually flooded into Wen Yu’s ears. After a simple judgment, he estimated that the number of residents here should not be less than one hundred million, and the presence of tenth-level strongmen was astonishing.
Peering through a tube, Wen Yu had formed a rough estimate of the overall strength of the demonic clan.
Until the guiding demonic entity led him past a courtyard and arrived at a massive door. It then smiled and gestured to Wen Yu, indicating they had arrived.
Nodding, Wen Yu pushed the heavy door open.
The door was as thick as steel and contained a material that could shield perception abilities. Accompanied by a cold touch, the door emitted creaking sounds, and then Wen Yu immediately sensed the presence inside…
“One eleventh-level strongman, six tenth-level limit breakers, and Ye Nan and Bai…”
The intelligence was clear. At this point, Wen Yu finally felt relieved—Bai’s pre-planned strategy had not gone awry.
As the door swung fully open, Wen Yu entered the room and scanned the surroundings. The first thing that caught his attention was the eleventh-tier demonic creature sitting to the right of Ye Nan.
It was a monstrous insect-like creature magnified countless times. Its carapace was covered with menacing barbs, eight abdominal feet were faintly visible beneath the shell, and six eyes on its head glimmered with a strange green light. It also dragged a nearly 30-meter-long giant tail behind it.
“My name is Leogua… I welcome the First Lord to my city in the name of my master…”
In the Demon Realm, the desolate borderlands, the city lord of the First City, not part of the demonic clan military department, not part of the Demon Palace, merely a refugee, yet undoubtedly a true eleventh-level old monster.
