Yesterday Was Just Too Tired~~~

No matter how luxurious Haman Dan was now, Ye Zhongming patiently listened to everything this guy had encountered.

Afterward, his slight anger and frustration vanished, replaced by deep contemplation.

He realized he was in a dilemma.

The Haman Dan Rashid before him was not as simple as he appeared; this guy had likely made up his mind the moment he learned that Ye Zhongming had arrived.

The choice Ye Zhongming faced was given to him by Haman Dan: if he wanted the Stellar Sand, he had to help Haman Dan.

The various factions in West Asia were far more complex than those in the China Zone, greatly influenced by their historical power dynamics and beliefs.

The chaos and disorder of the apocalypse provided a fertile ground for organizations relying on bloodlines and doctrines to thrive.

As a former royal noble, Haman Dan easily obtained his current position, becoming the leader of a massive warband.

However, no matter how terrifying their habits and spiritual worlds were, the apocalypse was still the apocalypse; some things were ultimately beyond control.

As the apocalypse deepened, more and more people began to proclaim themselves kings, while beliefs gradually crumbled.

Yet, two events saved the situation from descending into chaos.

One was the emergence of the Star Spirit.

Similar to the Earth Spirit, the Star Spirit provided the locals with the Stellar Sand, a national specialty that could save lives in times of danger or be used as material to enhance equipment levels and gain special powers.

This was one of the best things in the apocalypse.

And it was the entire royal family that obtained the Star Spirit.

This sudden acquisition stabilized the unstable situation.

The royal army and powerful figures, now strengthened by the Stellar Sand, no longer feared large-scale, direct, and bloody conflicts with their own kin, which they had previously avoided.

Those factions itching for a fight were naturally silenced.

The second event was the appearance of a special roulette, or more accurately, this roulette was the national specialty roulette, also known as the birth roulette of the Star Spirit.

However, after the task was initiated, the West Asians did not complete it thoroughly; at that time, the circumstances made it impossible to achieve full completion, resulting in them obtaining only temporary control over the Star Spirit, while the national specialty roulette didn’t disappear but instead spread in an incredible manner.

Now, according to Haman Dan, the Star Spirit had already shown signs of instability, and there was a possibility it could be "absorbed" back into the national specialty roulette at any moment.

The situation Haman Dan described was dire, not just for himself but for the entire West Asia Zone, as the national specialty roulette had become a plague, spreading across the region.

Even Ye Zhongming and the others had encountered it, specifically the fake roulette they had come across!

That was merely a derivative or, one could say, a reproduction of the national specialty roulette.

"This type of roulette is very deceptive. Survivors unaware of the situation would spin them, and a variety of sand-based mutated lifeforms would emerge, in turn devouring those who spun the roulette and providing energy for their evolution. Meanwhile, these fake roulettes absorb the energy of magic crystals to ensure their own evolution, subsequently reproducing more fake roulettes."

Haman Dan recounted the problems he and all evolvers in West Asia faced, feeling frustrated as he opened a bottle of wine on the table and downed a cup in one go.

"In the beginning, when these fake roulettes first appeared, no one knew what they were. Survivors kept spinning them, leading to the massive appearance of sand-based mutated lifeforms, causing many camps to be breached. Later, as news gradually spread, survivors stopped spinning these easily distinguishable fakes, but every so often, these roulettes would automatically generate monsters, which was truly a headache."
