At some point, Little Tiger led his squad to the front lines of the battle.
Or rather, it wasn't him who charged forward, but the warriors of the Temple of Dawn who launched a counter-offensive.
Thanks to the timely assault of the posthumous children, the warriors of the Temple of Dawn, who had just been drained of their energy, fell into chaos as they tried to form a complete formation to withstand the cavalry's charge, even using some of their men as cannon fodder without hesitation.
If things continued down this path, although it would take some time, the Temple of Dawn would eventually complete their formation based on their excellent organizational skills and tactical expertise.
At that point, the cavalry of the posthumous children would slow down, and they would find themselves surrounded by the Temple of Dawn, marking the moment of extermination for these cavalrymen.
However, Yangos's seemingly innocuous actions drew the firepower focus of the Royal City. At this moment, the walls were brimming with the accumulated results of the posthumous children's years of effort and the roulette technology from Earth.
With all these defensive weapons still intact and well-stocked with ammunition, Yangos entering the range was essentially akin to seeking death.
If the three titans of dawn or the Holy Maiden had arrived there alone, the outcome would have been the same.
In the face of such an attack, the only one who could retreat unscathed or even counterattack was likely the unseen ninth level Holy Father of the Temple of Dawn.
The consequence of the Evil Dragon's actions forced the Holy Maiden to step in and rescue him, putting her in a precarious situation as well.
Who would have guessed that the posthumous children would so decisively send four people to surround and kill her upon discovering the opportunity?
In a sense, the Temple of Dawn is like the posthumous children; while ordinary warriors can perish, figures like the Holy Maiden cannot, especially in factions that rely on faith to govern.
Thus, when the Holy Maiden came under siege, the three titans of dawn issued an attack order.
No longer forming any kind of formation, no longer systematically using their advantages in numbers and quality to eliminate the posthumous cavalry—they abandoned all restraint.
All they needed was to break through the cavalry's blockade, reach the Holy Maiden, and reclaim their faith.
With the cavalry of the posthumous children, the air force deployed, and Little Tiger's Cloud Hoof cavalry, there were nearly 40,000 troops. Achieving results under such circumstances was indeed impressive; in this brief time, they had already slain at least five thousand enemies. The reason they couldn't achieve more was that the Temple of Dawn had not collapsed.
On the battlefield, massive casualties usually occur when one side routs; during fierce clashes, the numerical losses aren’t as significant as one might imagine.
Yet, once the warriors of the Temple of Dawn went berserk, the cavalry of the posthumous children immediately found themselves in a tough fight.
This was partly due to their proactive interception after realizing the situation.
The small plain before the Royal City, while not large, was still too vast for just over twenty thousand cavalrymen to block, especially since cavalry charges possess inherent depth.
Thus, Little Tiger and his Cloud Hoof cavalry, who had been conducting long-range attacks from the rear, immediately encountered the soldiers of the Temple of Dawn who were charging from both sides under this spreading advance.
The battle erupted instantly.
Under the assault of the Magic Crystal Firearms, the nearest warriors of the Temple of Dawn were swiftly gunned down. Following this, the silver box series magic crystal grenades were thrown out, harvesting numerous enemy lives once again.
Desperate warriors of the Temple of Dawn withstood this assault, pushing to the front of the ranks.
Little Tiger raised the Horse-Slaying Blade, which had been upgraded to green level by Ye Zhongming, and led the charge forward.
