Today is a busy day, I'm back late, just one chapter~~
Ha Cheng looked at the splattered blood before him and felt a thrill he couldn't achieve during the hunt.
This was the blood of the Temple Warriors, the blood of that force that had haunted his nightmares.
The force with which he bore a blood feud!
Not long ago, his home had been destroyed by these people. For him, the warm embrace of the mountain during the cold season was of extraordinary significance.
He was born there, grew up there. It was where he found his wife, built his home, and had his two children.
It’s worth noting that among posthumous children, having two children was rare, especially given the high infant mortality rate. Even with the strong physiques of posthumous children’s mothers, it was still a challenge.
Ha Cheng had always thought that everything would unfold like it did for his parents; he would go out hunting, provide food for his children, and perhaps when the time was right, he could have another Old Third. That was his wife's desire.
He envisioned passing on his combat skills and experience to his son and daughter. His son would become a warrior just like him, or even better, while his daughter would learn every life skill, ensuring she could take good care of her husband and home after marriage.
But all of this was shattered a few days ago by these people.
Ha Cheng always thought of himself as brave, but when the Temple of Dawn attacked his tribe, facing monsters, his courage vanished. All he could do was flee with his family.
At that time, he felt fortunate to have once tamed a monster as a mount, thinking he could run faster than others.
But it turned out that the people of the Temple of Dawn were even faster.
In the end, he lost his wife and daughter.
At times, he had to make choices, and among posthumous children, those choices were fixed.
Choose a male.
So when he arrived at the Royal City, Ha Cheng felt as though he was nearing death—not physically, but mentally.
He felt that the Royal City could only resist for so long. After witnessing the overwhelming army of the Temple of Dawn, he didn’t believe this city could truly remain unfalling. The last remnants of his bloodline, his life, were possibly in a countdown.
However, Ha Cheng encountered the Cloud Summit Villa in the Royal City, and with it, a glimmer of hope.
He arrived on Earth, a brand-new world, and learning he could relocate there, he sent his son away, becoming one of the first members settled on Earth.
He knew that even if he died in battle, his bloodline would continue.
Thus, when the cavalry unit he belonged to was the first deployed to participate in the counterattack against the Temple of Dawn, Ha Cheng felt no fear in his heart.
When one is no longer afraid of death, what could the enemy possibly be?
So, relying on the speed of the tamed monster, he was the first to charge into the ranks of the Temple of Dawn, the first to kill a soldier from the Temple, and for the first time, he saw fear in his opponent's eyes instead of ferocity.
Ha Cheng felt that his name would be recorded in history, and in the future, his son would read about his father in the physical books of Earth.
He thrust his white spear into the chest of a beautifully armored Temple Warrior, watching as blood gushed from the warrior's mouth, feeling exhilarated within.
Three!
Ha Cheng silently counted in his heart; he believed he could kill ten, or even more, today.
But at a certain moment, he felt a wave of heat. He saw red around him, yet he didn’t think much of it, as his eyes were already stained with blood.
However, when he saw the spear he cherished beginning to melt, and the shimmering light dimming, Ha Cheng finally realized he was under attack.
Instinctively, he looked up at the source of heat in the sky. There, a massive shadow was circling. Between him and that shadow lay a raging fire.
At that moment, Ha Cheng discovered that it wasn't just his weapon melting—his body and mount were too.
