In the final count, there were more than two hundred and eighty bones with Ghost Gold Chains. The least one had only one iron chain, while the most had seven.
This meant that over a thousand Ghost Gold Chains had been obtained by Cloud Summit, but it was a mix of joy and worry, as Ye Zhongming had a tremendous headache about how to sustain these Ghost Gold.
After a busy day, Ye Zhongming, Liu Zhenghong, and several researchers confirmed some findings based on extensive experiments.
The Ghost Gold Chains could indeed be cultivated using blood and flesh; the higher the life form, the more energy they could provide.
However, the experiments showed that this method was more akin to allowing them to rapidly "reproduce" rather than grow normally.
Those Ghost Gold Chains that had been damaged during the fight with Ye Zhongming could quickly repair themselves after absorbing blood and flesh.
What Ye Zhongming needed now was for them to grow normally without forcing them.
All bones possessed life, and all could absorb blood and flesh, which was another discovery by Ye Zhongming, even those without Ghost Gold growth.
This made Ye Zhongming wonder if, as long as they were well-nourished, they could also grow Ghost Gold?
Then how many could grow from the nearly one thousand pieces of bones on the iron lock prisoner?
If that were the case, it would undoubtedly be a tremendous wealth, but it was based on the ability to sustain so many bones.
Additionally, one more point was that once separated from the iron lock prisoner's body, these living bones lost their energy very quickly. After just one day, those that had never "eaten" blood and flesh were already on the verge of death, which forced Ye Zhongming to find a large quantity of blood and flesh for them to absorb first to sustain their lives.
Later, Ye Zhongming and Liu Zhenghong experimented by cutting the Ghost Gold Chains from the base, leaving only the bone segment and the circular base. They verified again that the absorbed energy not only did not decrease but increased exponentially, which made Ye Zhongming's face turn bitter.
Perhaps it was just a case of the onlooker seeing more than the player; when Yaten came to see the excitement, pointing at the small bone of Ghost Gold that Ye Zhongming had cut, saying it looked like an onion, Ye Zhongming and Liu Zhenghong exchanged a glance, stunned for a while, before simultaneously cursing.
Ye Zhongming picked up that bone and used his cultivation ability, discovering that although a significant portion of his mental energy had disappeared, the cut area of the bone indeed grew about an inch wide of Ghost Gold!
Previously, they had subconsciously thought this material was mined from a living organism, instinctively believing it to be an animal, with Ghost Gold merely a substance it secreted.
But they had never considered that it was a plant, and Ghost Gold was a fruit rather than anything else.
After cultivation, Ye Zhongming gained affinity and recognition from this plant bone, making the research much smoother.
What surprised everyone in the end was that this type of bone seemed to be drawn to the corrupt soil beneath the carnivorous plants. After burying it in the corrupt soil, it appeared unchanged, but after a few hours, Ye Zhongming felt the life energy increasing.
These fellows could actually maintain life and continue to grow in the corrupt soil.
Upon further reflection, it became clear that everything was interconnected; these carnivorous plants originated from seeds obtained from Bloodwood, and that huge piece of wood was still standing upright in the center of the villa, serving as the weapon for the iron lock prisoner.
By throwing blood and flesh into the corrupt soil, both the carnivorous plants and Ghost Gold bones absorbed it quickly, consuming it entirely, with peaks in life energy increase.
Short-term fasting would not lead to weakened life forces.
This reassured Ye Zhongming, as he had at least found a way to keep these bones alive. Therefore, he chopped off all the Ghost Gold Chains from these bones. After increasing the number of carnivorous plants, he buried all these bones in the corrupt soil.
