The statistics from this siege battle were released three days after the fighting had completely ended.
Ye Zhongming carefully examined the report, which filled three sheets of paper, feeling a mix of happiness and worry.
The worry, of course, came from the casualty figures.
The posthumous children sent out three hundred thousand warriors. Excluding the lightly injured and those severely injured who could recover, the number of disabled alone exceeded thirty thousand, and the death toll surpassed fifteen thousand!
This meant that, in helping Cloud Summit Villa fight, one-sixth of the posthumous children’s fighting contingent, a total of fifty thousand warriors, were now no longer eligible to fight.
The posthumous children were loyal, brave, and unyielding, making them the most excellent warriors. At times, even the warriors from Cloud Summit admired them greatly.
However, they also had weaknesses, such as being somewhat rigid in combat, outdated weapons and equipment, and lacking the diverse abilities of Earth’s evolvers.
These were the primary reasons for their high casualty rate, followed by their enormous warrior base.
In second place were the warriors from Ying City. Similarly excluding those who could recover, there were over ten thousand disabled, and nearly thirty thousand dead, bringing the total casualties to around forty-five thousand.
These casualties mainly occurred during the earlier defense of Cloud Summit, where seven or eight out of ten of the initial defenders perished.
Next came the statistics for Cloud Summit...
Looking at the string of numbers above, Ye Zhongming felt pain in his heart.
The number of deaths... was seven thousand one hundred and twenty, with six hundred fifty-seven disabled and one thousand one hundred sixty-one missing.
Cloud Summit counted the missing persons because no corpses had been found. In fact, they were essentially presumed dead, with the posthumous children and Ying City teams including missing persons in their death toll.
As for why the proportion of disabled was so low, it was because the warriors of Cloud Summit had a strong sense of home. Even if they lost limbs, most chose to grit their teeth and fight to the end. Those who survived were primarily those who had fainted and were rescued, with very few voluntarily leaving the battlefield.
Among these casualties, while not all were warriors, many were logistics, technical staff, and family members. For Cloud Summit, which had always maintained a small population, this was already the most significant blow.
Aside from Xia Lei and Xia Bai's two small teams, the other teams had almost all suffered losses exceeding half, and the few teams that had been defending the villa had been nearly wiped out.
These were all individuals Ye Zhongming had carefully cultivated, with loyalty and strength beyond question.
Now, due to Guangyao and some teams from Ying City being absorbed, along with those from the Cloud Apex Falling Alliance who had left the posthumous children, there weren't major issues regarding loyalty. However, it would still take time for them to assimilate with the other Cloud Summit members.
Fortunately, these new members had experienced this battle and fought alongside the old members, so at least in terms of trust, they would start with a high foundation.
Despite the significant casualties, Ye Zhongming was certain that after a period of integration, the experience gained from this battle would make the survivors even more resolute and powerful. They would form the backbone of Cloud Summit Villa and influence future recruits. As long as they remained, the spirit of combat and loyalty would endure, allowing Cloud Summit to continue growing strong.
Following the casualties were damages to some equipment and supplies, which also pained Ye Zhongming. After all, these items were procured with real money, and now they were destroyed, requiring another substantial investment to replace.
After reviewing the losses and suppressing his sadness, what remained was the gains. Just a glance at them brought a smile to Ye Zhongming’s face.
