The death of Yu Zai Ke did not affect the resistance of the Radiant World Army's sixth unit. When faced with zombies, humanity would never give up its fight.
The equipment of the Radiant World Army was quite good; at least compared to Cloud Summit, the difference was minimal, and they had notably more standard weapons. Firearms were still the preferred means of attack for most people.
This weaponry, capable of inflicting damage from a distance, provided a great sense of security to humanity. However, today, they were confronted by a zombie horde that was far too powerful and bizarre.
These zombies were of high levels, so high that any one of them would be difficult to deal with. When comparing the same evolutionary levels, zombies generally had slightly more strength than humans. Now, facing a horde that outnumbered them and matched their evolutionary levels, if it weren’t for the well-trained nature of the Radiant World Army, they would have likely collapsed by now.
However, it was evident that they could not hold out much longer. The arrangements made by Yu Zai Ke before his death played a significant role; although the defense line of the Radiant World Army was precarious, a portion of the troops were in the process of retreating from the battlefield.
At this moment, no one thought about the fact that Yu Zai Ke had already died. Many believed that a seven-star evolver should not fall so quickly in the face of danger, as that was ultimately the highest evolutionary level known to humanity.
They just didn’t consider what kind of monster their army commander had encountered.
The sixth and seventh units were not the main combat teams of the Radiant World Army; their numbers were not large, with only four hundred personnel in each unit. Usually, they were more responsible for guarding the camp, patrolling, and securing supplies. Being assigned by Yu Zai Ke to take items from the warehouse was also part of their duties.
The eight-hundred-man team rushed in quickly, each person carrying a large empty bag on their backs and another in hand. They were evolvers, and each of their 'load capacities' was equivalent to that of a pickup truck.
However, as they approached the warehouse, they discovered another team also closing in from a different direction.
Captain Tie Shan of the fifth unit and Captain Lin Lie of the sixth unit exchanged glances, both realizing that something was wrong.
At this moment, the entire Radiant World Army was engaged in battle, each unit performing its role, and there shouldn't be any other smaller teams appearing here. The presence of so many people indicated that they were definitely not their own.
"Is that Captain Tie Shan and Captain Lin Lie?" A voice suddenly called out the names of the two, causing the battle orders that were on the tip of their tongues to be swallowed back down.
What was going on? Reinforcements? Brothers from other divisions?
Due to the internal communication within the Radiant World Army, it was common for procurement personnel from other districts to come here to acquire materials. After all, the sixth unit controlled a desolate land, and obtaining materials from here would definitely be at internal pricing.

As both sides drew closer, illuminated by the fire in front, the two captains saw the person calling out to them.

The two captains recognized this person; he was from the third unit and had impressive strength. It was said that he was discovered in a nearby mountainous area while on the verge of death. The captain of the third unit found out he was a four-star evolver, healed him, and took him under his wing.
Of course, there was a strict review process for those who joined midway, and while Peking Duck was a four-star evolver, he had only recently passed the review and was now serving as a vanguard in the third unit.
