"Chapter One~~"
“For your safety and the safety of your subordinates, it’s best to stay out of this and not force me to kill you first.”
Ye Zhongming’s evident surge in momentum could not be hidden from Guangyao, who had already entered a combat state. He suddenly turned to face Ye Zhongming, pointing his spear directly at him.
There were still fresh bloodstains on the spearhead; this six-star evolver, clad in the Rong Clan Holy Armor, had just killed Duan Jing'an, one of the core leaders of the Cloud Port Alliance.
A five-star evolver, without a large number of guards, was utterly vulnerable when faced with a six-star evolver in Rong Clan Holy Armor. He was pierced through the forehead by a single shot after only a few seconds of resistance.
Liang Chuyin raised her brow, ready to make her move. This woman had a fiery personality; after spending a long time in Cloud Summit Villa with someone like Ye Zhongming, she had no fear whatsoever about challenging someone stronger.
The silver whip she had taken from Ye Zhongming’s space coiled like a snake, ready to unleash its skills at any moment.
“This woman is quite impressive,” Guangyao laughed heartily, completely disregarding Ye Zhongming and his companions.
This statement brought a layer of anger to Zhao Xingmei's face, who was standing behind Ye Zhongming.
In the apocalypse, capable women were often very sensitive to malicious teasing.
Ye Zhongming squinted, pulling the increasingly volatile internet celebrity behind him, and shook the edge of the moon in his hand.
Guangyao, who had been half-turned, straightened up. Though he didn’t sense the same level of evolver energy from this man, he felt an uncomfortable sensation as if he were being watched by something. This forced him to take Ye Zhongming seriously.
Of course, the fundamental reason was that, despite Guangyao’s seemingly indifferent demeanor, the information he had received before coming here filled him with apprehension regarding Cloud Summit Villa and Ye Zhongming.
He wasn’t afraid; neither was his organization. With no unexpected incidents, his faction was likely one of the strongest in the apocalypse, and he possessed an innate pride.
But that didn’t mean he was a fool; fools didn’t survive long in the apocalypse.
Nonetheless, Guangyao wasn’t afraid. The Rong Clan Holy Armor he acquired before arriving here gave him immense confidence; he didn’t believe there was anyone in the world who could defeat him under the same conditions.
He even thought that among the few seven-star evolvers known to him worldwide, he could battle them as well!
That was why he dared to provoke Ye Zhongming, or rather, he was disdainfully looking down on anyone who dared disrespect him.
“Enough with the nonsense.”
Ye Zhongming drew his weapon directly.
And the moment he struck, it was with the Seal Mountain Blade.
He wanted to see how strong this arrogant Guangyao truly was and to test the strength of the equipment that was functionally equivalent to a green-grade set!
Guangyao immediately felt the immense pressure as if a mountain was bearing down on him. He pressed his lips together, flicked his wrist, and his spear sprang into action. A bright light appeared at the tip, quickly forming into a ball of light. As the spear moved, when the ball reached the size of a fist, it began to emit arcs of electricity, creating a field of lightning around him, which countered the pressure from the mountain blade.
With a light chuckle, Guangyao thrust his spear forward, colliding with the edge of the moon.
The dazzling light illuminated the entire banquet hall, and with a crisp clang, both combatants were forced back two steps.
In their gazes, a hint of madness flickered.
A worthy opponent!
Both men simultaneously thought this.
However, the difference lay in Guangyao’s mind, viewing Ye Zhongming as an evenly matched adversary, whereas Ye Zhongming thought… someone worthy of a fight.
As the two focused, intense battles erupted elsewhere in the banquet hall. After the sudden appearance and disappearance of assassins, the crowd had split into two factions: one comprising the external reinforcements who had lost several leaders of major forces and the Cloud Port faction led by Rong Cheng, and the other was Meng Xiangjiang and Yang Shi’s forces.
