The back of the ape turtle egrets exploded with a loud pop, and a blood hole appeared there. Blood, bodily fluids, and brain matter mixed and gushed out from the wound. Its massive body shook violently at first, then began to convulse irregularly. The large mouth that was biting into Ye Zhongming's arm gradually loosened, as if it had lost its only support. The creature swayed and then crashed to the ground with a loud thud.
Ye Zhongming gripped his gun, enduring the pain and numbness in his right arm, vigilantly scanning his surroundings. After a moment, when no abnormalities appeared, he let out a sigh of relief.
In the rumors he heard in his previous life, there was more than one ape turtle egrets, leading to the fact that the two armor-piercing bullets he had just used were only +4 in penetration power. He still hadn’t used the one with the highest power, which had +6 penetration.
With the help of the earth yellow pills, he conducted a simple search around the area and confirmed that there was no second enemy. Ye Zhongming then climbed onto the mixing truck, which served as the nest for the ape turtle egrets. Once inside the spacious mixing tank, his worries finally faded away.
On a pile of torn clothing and bloodied bones lay three large green eggs with patterns, each about half a meter tall. Two of them radiated vibrant life force, indicating they were not far from hatching.
In the center of the three eggs, a faint yellow light hovered, and through the light, he could see a quaint parchment scroll inside.
Ye Zhongming's eyes lit up as he reached out and took the parchment scroll in his hands. With a hint of excitement, he unfurled the scroll.
"War Blade Moon Sand!"
The four characters appeared first, followed by three patterns below. Each of these patterns represented the three forging stages of the War Blade Moon Sand. The first stage was the simplest, named "Edge of the Moon," requiring the most basic materials: ordinary steel, metal, and wood. The most expensive material necessary was the magic crystal, requiring a Grade 2 Magic Crystal as the energy source for forging.
Of course, due to the profession of the craftsman and the specific names for weapon blueprints, even the most ordinary Edge of the Moon was exceptionally sharp, showcasing the characteristics of metal to its fullest. It also had a clearly marked numerical value—basic sharpness of 10.
This was not the previously mentioned value after the plus sign, but the base attribute itself. Just like the bullets Ye Zhongming had previously enchanted, they originally had their base penetration values. The +4 penetration after enchanting was an additional attribute, while the basic attributes of items he had not forged himself were beyond Ye Zhongming’s current ability to see.
However, one thing was undeniable: two pieces of mutated bark added 2 points of toughness, and the homogenous enhancement of the blood tongue lizard claws added 4 points of penetration. These values were quite impressive and had strengthened the enchanted equipment to a new level. Yet even so, this value did not exceed 5. Even the bullet with multiple enchantments only increased penetration by 6 points.
But the first pattern of this blueprint, the most basic Moon Sand form, had a basic sharpness value of 10. Just imagining the knife's potential if it were created was astonishing.
Below the pattern, there was a brief explanation concerning the addition of other special materials during the forging process. Ye Zhongming glanced at it; it was actually quite similar to enchanting or homogeneous enhancement. He could add materials with good fusion rates into the forging process, which would improve the quality of the finished product and also give a chance of adding extra attributes.
One detail that caught Ye Zhongming's attention was that the first pattern was silver in color.
This meant that the Edge of the Moon was an ordinary silver-grade weapon.
Pattern 2 changed to green, and just seeing the color made Ye Zhongming's heart skip a beat.
