"Thank you, my brother Little Jiu, for the 588, and to the other brothers as well. I deleted some posts in the book review section that caused disagreements amongst readers. There's no need to argue and hurt feelings; we're all brothers~~"
The spirit woman closed her eyes, her aura rapidly rising. The tier 3 zombies behind her stepped back in fear, their expressions revealing their dread. Then, they all bowed their heads, showing a deep respect.
Since they followed the spirit woman, they should have been tamed subordinates, and this time, they became even more loyal.
Sometimes, it's like this. Although zombies are disgusting, their world is much simpler than that of humans.
"I want blood. I’m open to any conditions," she said.
The magic crystal on her forehead began to emit a faint blue light, its main green hue unable to conceal this glow. Clearly, she had one foot already in the doorway of grade 5 evolutionary life. Taking the remaining drop of the blood of evolution again would ensure her successful advancement.
The reason she didn't choose to evolve on the spot was likely due to her unease regarding Ye Zhongming and Red Hair.
From her previous experience with the blood of evolution, the spirit woman accurately grasped the relationship between the quantity of the blood and her evolution level. This was probably an application of her mental power.
Red Hair, however, had fewer concerns. She knew she was extremely safe with Ye Zhongming around.
After taking three drops of the blood of evolution, along with the remaining drop from before to repair her body, Red Hair began her evolution. The massive thorned flower reappeared beneath her body and raised her into the air, with wooden spike conduits connecting the two. Red Hair's long crimson hair then spread out, enveloping her entirely.
This time, the evolution was slightly different from before; a faint halo circulated around the red hair, and glowing specks seemed to flicker within, casting a dreamlike hue over the dim room.
The spirit woman watched Red Hair with an inexplicable envy, which quickly vanished.
She began to understand this man's intentions.
Constraint.
When the spirit woman faced Ye Zhongming before, there was no difference between him and other similarly ranked or slightly stronger peers. However, as their relationship grew more special and their evolutionary levels continued to rise, the spirit woman found herself… increasingly craving Ye Zhongming!
This appetite was almost uncontrollable, especially the first moment she saw Ye Zhongming upon arriving here; she nearly took action.
Unfortunately, she knew Ye Zhongming was very strong now. When at the same level, she should not be this human's opponent, so she held back.
But this desire would remain buried deep in her heart, until one day when she could taste this man's delicious blood. She knew that day would come.
The spirit woman also understood that after helping this man, although she received the blood of evolution as her reward, she simultaneously became a kind of enemy to him. The relationship between them was increasingly akin to that with Red Hair.
When faced with an external enemy, they could trust and cooperate. When there was no external enemy, they regarded each other as stepping stones on their evolutionary paths.
This man would not allow her to rule all the zombies in Ying City, so he also allowed Red Hair to evolve, making her a constraint on her.
As the spirit woman reached the threshold of grade 5, she understood the situation clearly but found herself powerless. At this moment, she could not contend with this person and thus had to choose acceptance.
Ye Zhongming shook his head, "Unless you can obtain a large quantity of grade 3 magic crystals, otherwise, there is no blood of evolution."
After finishing, Ye Zhongming deliberately looked at the tier 3 zombies behind Red Hair, causing these beings, who only knew killing upon seeing humans, to start baring their teeth at him, now forced to remain where they were.
"No, they are mine." The spirit woman intended to express herself more clearly but, unfortunately, her language skills were inadequate.
