The old corpse king is dead, and the new corpse king has yet to be established, leading to chaos in the zombie camp.

The continuous disappearance of several tier 4 lifeforms made the Rat King tremble with fear; it retreated over a thousand meters with its army before finally stopping, shaken and uneasy. If it weren't for the immense allure of the blood of evolution, it might have already escaped back to the sewers.

Even though the rats have evolved, they are still timid creatures.

Within the area surrounding the roulette, many survivors are observing the situation. Some are preying on the scattered mutated lifeforms at the fringes of the major camps, while others dream of overnight wealth, coming here to search for the so-called opportunities that are almost impossible to find.

There are also those from the major powers in Ying City who are unwilling to retreat in defeat, lingering nearby.

Even those who have left, upon seeing the grade 5 Twin-Winged Golden-Eyed Royal Python soar into the sky today, understand what has happened, who has returned, and many rushed over to see the spectacle.

However, as they watched, they realized… there seems to be an opportunity here.

The mutated animal camp has retreated far away, the Evil Dragon's monster camp has vanished, and the zombie camp is in total disarray. With the corpse king dead, the other zombies are fleeing like headless chickens in all directions.

Looking at that alliance made up of smaller factions, they are having a blast, with no zombies able to stop them. The grade 5 creature floats overhead, and how can a large horde of zombies dare to resist?

In such a short time, how many magic crystals have they collected? Three thousand or five thousand, or maybe even ten thousand!

Wealth stirs the heart, especially in the apocalypse. Some bolder individuals began to take advantage, cautiously emerging from the shadows to hunt a few zombies at the edges, even picking off isolated tier 2 and tier 3 zombies. Although their kind was not far away, few ever came to help.

Such opportunities are rare. Currently, tier 2 and tier 3 zombies are treasures in the eyes of survivors; their tier 2 and tier 3 magic crystals represent a percentage of an Evolution Potion. It would usually take much effort to find a solitary one, and hunting them carries significant risks.

But now, in the sky are the grade 5 battle pets of human survivors, and the focus of the battlefield is that group of about a thousand people wreaking havoc. The zombies seem to be in a panic, running around as if stimulated. They cannot afford to miss such a good opportunity!

With someone leading, others grew bolder. They had previously worried that snatching food from that strong team might provoke an attack, but seeing those people merely glance at them and then ignore them, they immediately knew it was allowed.

Yes, now this area is concentrated with about half of Ying City’s zombies, estimated to be one to two million, spread across almost half the district. With such numbers, how could a team of a thousand kill them all? Even with these opportunists mixed in, how much could they really take down? Everyone's interests don't actually conflict.

As more survivors realized this, more joined the attack on the zombies, and in just moments, their numbers far surpassed the small alliance led by Ye Zhongming. Even some of the larger factions had numbers comparable to the small alliance. With the small alliance attracting the bulk of the zombies ahead, they were able to kill very easily from behind.

Ye Zhongming was not dissatisfied with this situation. The zombies are countless; even with his current strength and influence, he couldn't eliminate all the zombies in Ying City. Once these zombies evolve to higher levels and their intelligence becomes more pronounced, it would be tough for humans to surround and kill them like today. In many cases, it might even reverse, with zombies gathering to hunt humans.
