Regarding the precision exchange roulette, there's a saying about the golden half-hour.
Because this type of roulette has a huge attraction for survivors and mutated life forms, it is almost always surrounded by mutated beings from the moment it appears until the last drop of blood of evolution is exhausted.
The best opportunity is within half an hour after its appearance, when various life forms have not yet gathered around, making it possible to spin the roulette during this window of time.
This half-hour has been jokingly referred to as the golden half-hour, and what Ye Zhongming wants to catch is this opportunity.
As a three-star evolver, and with the speed boost from the Bloodstained Battle Boots, Ye Zhongming dashed towards the roulette, reaching a point just a few hundred meters away.
This distance was the core area of the collapsed ruins, with no road access, forcing him to navigate over various piles of construction debris.
Moreover, mutated life forms had already appeared in this area, their numbers increasing at a speed that shocked the survivors.
Ye Zhongming had to start fighting; the Edge of the Moon cut through all the zombies and mutated beings that dared to block him, neglecting to dig for magic crystals, wanting only to quickly reach under the roulette.
Some high-level mutated beings appeared, and the silhouettes of nearby evolvers emerged as well. The former chased after the latter, while the latter’s gaze shifted across the roulette.
With one slash, he cut down a grade 2 zombie, and Ye Zhongming was merely a hundred meters away from the Poppy Wheel. About ten minutes had passed, but there were still several shadows ahead, while the noise behind him was gradually growing louder.
He knew without looking back that countless life forms were converging towards this place.
Thud!
A bizarre mutated flea landed in front of Ye Zhongming, having evolved to grade 3, it was no longer a trivial existence in the eyes of humans. Its body was as large as a domestic cat and extremely agile, with incredible jumping ability and sharp spines all over; brushing against it would tear flesh and blood.
Ye Zhongming was feeling a bit irritated now; he had to spin the roulette and leave within the half-hour, or he would be trapped here. Even if he were a four-star or five-star evolver, he would end up as nothing but bones.
Metal Osmium appeared directly above the grade 3 flea. The mutated creature nimbly jumped, avoiding much of the attack, but ultimately one leg was crushed, letting out a scream as it turned back and bit off its own leg.
This self-harming act, aimed at regaining freedom of movement, would typically give the grade 3 mutated flea an advantage, but Ye Zhongming was too fast. From the moment he activated the Metal Osmium, he didn’t stop, flashing past the flea, severing its evolved sharp head and simultaneously digging out its magic crystal.
The Metal Osmium was then retracted.
Ye Zhongming had become increasingly proficient in the coordination of his multiple skills and professions during battles.
“Hey, what’s that thing? Do you know?”
A somewhat lewd voice suddenly emerged from beneath the ruins, a face covered in blood, though his eyes still gleamed. Covered in thick dust, he approached Ye Zhongming, pointing at the roulette and asking.
Ye Zhongming’s gaze flickered; the Edge of the Moon suddenly shot out from his hand, cutting across the man’s throat, causing a fountain of blood to spurt out.
The man clutched his throat in terror, trying to stop the blood flow, yet the crimson liquid continued to seep through his fingers. Meanwhile, a shining blade that had been hidden in a hand behind him fell to the ground.
