Fear spread directly over the hearts of the two women.

Aslan let out a low growl, simultaneously transforming one hand into a knife-like shape and stabbing through the gap in the railing, while tilting her body. Her other hand was gathering strength for a second attack.

Beside her, Zhao Xiangxue radiated a red glow, flames bursting from her body, ready to transform into a flame spirit body and enter combat mode. However, the moment the flames formed, they instantly extinguished, causing Zhao Xiangxue's face to turn pale, with blood streaming from her eyes, ears, and mouth.

Weakened, she fell backward, her eyes filled with despair.

Aslan was somewhat better, but she felt disdain for her current body; her earlier attack was soft and powerless, vastly different from her peak condition.

A bizarre smile appeared on the strange face, and a deep green tentacle suddenly shot out from its hollow mouth, the tip bearing a mouth full of sharp teeth and saliva, lunging toward Aslan’s hand.

Aslan’s body had already tilted at a certain angle, and she suddenly retracted her knife-like hand, quickly sweeping her other fist over a short distance, striking heavily at the tentacle that was biting at her hand.

The monster's grotesque face contorted momentarily, letting out a pained whimper.

Yet, Aslan did not take advantage to pursue; instead, she turned and pulled the still-rising Zhao Xiangxue to flee backward.

The monster retracted its tentacle, watching the two retreat without giving chase, standing quietly by the window.

If someone were to look from inside towards the monster’s back, they would see that its lower body was composed of dozens of arms and legs belonging to members of the All Races of the Universe, some still clad in the tattered uniforms of the Long-Distance Expedition Fleet...

The two rushed back into the spacecraft, sitting on the ground and panting heavily.

Immediately, everyone inside the spacecraft gathered around, especially two large serpent-like beings with double horns on their heads, though they too were in poor condition, their scales badly damaged.

Nine Treasures and his wife had arrived with the second batch of the Long-Distance Expedition Fleet. Due to their special abilities, Ye Zhongming believed they would be helpful in exploring the planets after landing.

“This is... did you encounter those creepy things? Let me help you with some healing,” Aslan said, examining the condition of the two. Aslan herself was fine, but Zhao Xiangxue was clearly suffering from the aftereffects of a failed ability.

The Long Void Water Clan was known for their healing skills, and healing-type spells were among the few capabilities that could still be used on this strange planet.

Currently, her level was not too high, and her role in battles within Divine Artisan City was minimal; after all, no one would want to send her to the front lines before she fully matured. If something went wrong, they would lose a top healer, which would be a significant loss.

While the healing abilities of the one staying behind were powerful, they were not irreplaceable, as there were plenty of other healers, healing arrays, and healing potions prepared.

Thus, in terms of emotions, she had yet to take the final step with Ye Zhongming, and knowing that Xia Lei and the others had joined the Long-Distance Expedition Fleet, she chose to join as well to help Ye Zhongming achieve his ultimate goal.

Perhaps this could break the emotional deadlock between the two of them.

As the current leader of the Long Void Water Clan, she still believed that becoming a family with Ye Zhongming was the best choice for herself and her race.

“Don’t waste energy; there’s no way to replenish it here. Save it for critical moments,” Zhao Xiangxue said softly, wiping the blood from her face.

Everyone fell silent.

It was clear that this time, their search for food yielded no results.

In fact, everyone knew that if food remained scarce during this period, it wouldn't make much difference whether they were found by those monsters or not; they would all starve to death.
