When Ye Zhongming saw the Yama Tree, the latter was looking at him with a sideways glance.
Whether it was intentional or not, the Yama Tree had used its plant life characteristics to increase its height slightly, just enough to be a little taller than Ye Zhongming.
Thus, when looking at Ye Zhongming, it had turned into a condescending glance from above.
This expression amused the Old Dean, Liu Zhenghong, and others nearby.
“You used to ignore me, and now you think you’re above me!” The first sentence the Yama Tree threw at Ye Zhongming made the latter chuckle.
However, it was hard to refute. Ye Zhongming had indeed rejected some of the Yama Tree’s unreasonable requests back in the day, and now, its level was indeed higher than his.
But Ye Zhongming was merely one step away from that line, capable of crossing over at any moment.
“Be a little humble,” the Old Dean patted the Yama Tree’s head and said with a smile, “Although you have crossed the threshold of the peak, you must understand that it’s not because you’ve cultivated to that level, but rather due to external forces. Only when you fully adapt to the power within your current body, master it skillfully, and deeply understand the rules of power, can you truly be considered at the peak.”
In front of the Old Dean, the Yama Tree was quite obedient, nodding and then quietly asking, “So can I beat him now?”
The Old Dean laughed at the Yama Tree’s sneaky demeanor.
“What does it matter if you can beat him or not?”
The Yama Tree puffed up its chest and said, “If I can, he won't have a say, heh heh.”
“If you can’t, then just ask again, it won’t hurt a tree.”
Everyone: “……”
After sending the Yama Tree off to train, the Old Dean and Ye Zhongming walked along the path of the Library Palace.
The battle of Divine Artisan City had passed more than two years ago, and the Library Palace seemed to have returned to its former state. The book keepers were still diligently practicing and studying, as if the tumultuous events from two years ago had nothing to do with them.
But every race knew that this Evil Dragon of the Library Palace was merely resting in its den, and when needed, it would still unleash a terrifying roar upon the universe.
While the Library Palace remained on high alert, the Myriad Clans Assembly restarted the Library Palace training program, or rather, paid attention to it, as before, anyone willing could still come to study here.
Although the major races understood that the Library Palace was now Ye Zhongming’s backyard, and even if they sent more of their people, they probably wouldn’t learn the true secret techniques, having more eyes watching here wasn’t a bad idea.
Of course, this did not include Ye Zhongming’s allies, as their races could learn something worthwhile by coming here.
“You have a good subordinate,” the Old Dean praised Liu Zhenghong, “In these two years, not only has she crazily made up for her lessons, but she has also raised the little sapling to peak level. She has a good brain and strong motivation, a rare talent.”
“What’s her current level among the Myriad Races?” Ye Zhongming indicated with his head.
The Old Dean thought for a moment: “Outstanding, but not top-tier. There is still a considerable gap from true top-tier, but in a few years, I believe she will break into the top ranks. By then, you can confidently entrust some of your research projects to her.”
Ye Zhongming nodded, thinking that Sister Hong truly was Sister Hong, outstanding even among the Myriad Races.
Sometimes, it was like this; talent outweighed hard work.
Currently, there were quite a few Cloud Summit People who had followed Ye Zhongming to the universe's Myriad Races. When they were on Earth, they could indeed be called geniuses, and at the very least, they were the type who would risk their lives and work hard as if they didn’t need sleep.
But upon reaching the heavens, compared to many geniuses of the Myriad Races, these people inevitably paled in comparison.
