Chapter 2679: The Last Trump Card (Part One) 🃏

The rumbling sound echoed in certain areas, but it was well concealed by various devices.

In this city where every inch of space was engaged in battle, even if some sounds leaked out, no one would notice.

Heiting Yanting swallowed a pill, feeling the power surge back within his body.

The attack of the Divine Eye seemed powerful enough to instill fear, but the energy required was terrifyingly enormous. Not only did it transmit vast amounts of Moon Age Gold energy through the structure of the Divine Eye, but both Heiting Yanting and Wutata also paid a great price.

This expenditure was naturally worth it, for if they were to face experts of the same level, even if they emerged victorious, the cost would definitely exceed that of using the Divine Eye. Moreover, no one could guarantee that they would emerge unscathed.

The reason the peak was called the peak was that the combat strength at this stage had reached the highest level among the All Races of the Universe. While the notion of destroying heaven and earth with a mere gesture might be exaggerated, it was indeed easy to create overwhelming force.

Once they clashed with experts of the same level, the consequences were often beyond their control.

Thus, using the Divine Eye to slay such a powerful elder of the Dragon Race was undoubtedly a glorious achievement at any time.

But it was still not enough.

Heiting Yanting knew that this was insufficient—far from sufficient.

His expression revealed nothing, still radiating confidence.

Deep down, he firmly believed that the Tarros Red Dwarf would ultimately achieve victory.

However, he understood that if, at the moment of ultimate victory, the remaining strength of the Tarros Red Dwarf was insufficient to deal with the hungry wolves lurking nearby, the final outcome would merely be a delayed demise.

Therefore, Heiting Yanting felt it was inadequate. He knew he must keep the losses within a certain range so that after the battle, he would have enough space and strength to negotiate with the greedy races and the alliance council.

The Tarros Red Dwarf might remain quiet for several years because of this, but as long as he was there, as long as the divine artisan was there, and as long as a portion of high-end combat power remained, everything could start anew.

Having restored part of his expended energy, Heiting Yanting leaped onto the high platform, raising the Divine Eye, and then jumped down to place the artifact into a massive metallic structure that had already opened.

Once the Divine Eye was placed inside, a metallic claw descended from above the structure, tightly gripping the Divine Eye, and then began to rotate slowly. After Heiting Yanting stepped back, layers of metallic walls rose around the structure, densely covered with various light nodes. From above, vast amounts of Moon Age Gold rained down, filling the gaps between the layers of metal walls.

Afterward, as Heiting Yanting retreated again, more layers of metallic doors sealed off the previous location.

Entering a gigantic room, Heiting Yanting halted his steps.

He gazed at the spacious yet cluttered area filled with various black metal hoses of varying thickness, and at the metal seat positioned in the center, his eyes revealing a hint of struggle.

After pondering for a moment, he approached a light barrier on the wall and tapped a few times. The situation around Divine Artisan City and inside the city was displayed clearly.

Outside the city, it was still the territory of the attacking forces, where warships providing long-range firepower and transportation hovered in the air, launching waves of attacks on Divine Artisan City at intervals. Some of them turned their hulls to guard against the approaching reinforcements of the Tarros Red Dwarf.

Heiting Yanting adjusted the view, observing the battle between two of his clan's legions and the humans.

Even though Heiting Yanting's specialty did not lie in the specific command of battles, he could see that the two legions of their side had the advantage. The same was true for the peak confrontations; the three peak experts of the Su Clan's affiliated races were clearly at a disadvantage in strength. Coupled with their lack of fearlessness towards death, they were barely maintaining an undefeated stance, but the initiative was already lost. Perhaps it wouldn't take long before one or even all of these dwarf peak experts would achieve kills.
